Any good sun screens for the windshield?

Looking to block out some sunlight from the star that is way to close to this planet. Whats the best you guys have found?

Heatshield...fits like a champ. Brand new, it's a little rigid but, after some use, you figure out where to bend it.

Very happy with the HeatShield I purchased from Amazon. I've used HeatShield sunshades for years and they've always held up very well. The HeatShield for the 4Runner fits perfectly.

I did not want to mess with a shield everytime. I had ceramic heat blocking tint film put on the windshield and sunroof. Blocks all the UV and most of the heat. Helps our weak A/C system too.

May do it on our new Sienna too, that has a BIG windshield.

This fits perfectly and is great for the Arizona sun. No level of tinting will replace a sunshade somewhere the sun is brutal, like around the desert and Texas.

I vote for Covercraft.

I've got one for our 4Runner. I've got a Heatshield for our Pruis v. HS covers the edges a little better, but the CC is much easier to put up and take down.

I don’t remember the brand. It’s one of those generic silver bubble wrap types that fold up accordion-style. The are sold at Walmart and auto parts stores. Cost around $15. I measured my windshield and found one size that fit perfectly.

Full ceramic tint......and clear on the windshield. Bang for the buck here in the 120 degree Desert.

i use the heat shield.

My tint installer talked me out of doing the front windshield. He stated that there is always a small chance of seeing halo's at night. Since my installer isn't the one to turn away free money, i believe him.

A lot of them will fit good and do a good job of keeping sun and light out, I would only suggest getting one that folds up instead of rolling up, it makes them easier to store and handle.

I like NOAD SPF 50 - I can buy it in gallon size. I just kinda smear it on there and then let the wipers finish the job. I've read that you can put it in the wiper fluid bottle, but it pumps kinda slow.

I just use a generic one from an unknown source - probably a gas station somewhere. Also doubles as a seat protector when I put lumber in across the folded down seat.

I've been happy with heatshield, coverage is perfect and it works great to reduce the heat..main downside is putting it up and taking it down and then finding a place to store it if you have other people in the car..

Here’s an idea to put sunshades in all your windows, if you don’t want to buy the WeatherTech complete package.

Take a look at this video. This gal has a YouTube channel about outdoor adventures. This one deals with her techniques for camping in her 4Runner. It’s pretty funny and comfort related, but at 17:40 she shows how she’s rigged up a blackout/sunshade system for each window for sleeping in privacy using Reflectix and gaffers tape.

This is the exact thing I used... In conjunction with a folding / collapsible screen, the clear windshield tint is absolutely worth every dollar.

To put it another way, I would never not have it again... it is amazing.
