any ideas for fixing scractched headlights?

I drive my '03 sport a ton and the plastic that shields the headlamps is getting pretty scratched from rock strikes as well as other general wear and tear. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to fix this problem without totally replacing the plastic casing? Some sort of scratch remover?

If you go to the Mothers web page, they have a Plastic Polish in the "Special Care" section. I had seen on one of those car shows, where they took either the "BILLET METAL POLISH" or the "MAG & ALUMINUM POLISH" to take out the heavier scratches and then finished up with the Plast Polish. They did is on an old headlight from a junkyard (that was completely clouded over) and it came out very clear. I guess you could write them and see which they would suggest.

I use 3M Plastic Polisher and cleaner, I use the cleaner first, then polish them every time I wax my 4runner. If that doesn't work try a product called Novus, they sell it at the Marine Stores(boat store) it's great on plexiglass and acrylic. Maybe it would work, they have different products for different applications.
