Any meets to shoot on BLM land?

Just wondering if there's any interest in meeting up to go shooting on BLM land. I recall there have been issues with asshats kind of ruining the fun for all.

Hell I'd be down to meet up at Angeles or Burro Canyon ranges as well.

I don't have a BLM spot in mind as it's been years since I've been outside of established ranges so apologies, not sniffing for your secret spot of awesome.

But if anyone's interested, let's meet up!

There is a spot for shooting on the west side of the 15 at Hodge Rd (Between Victorville and Barstow). There is a big hill just off the freeway, been going there for years.

Yep. Fort Irwin, Northwest of Calico. I go there a handful of times a year to shoot.

Hodge Rd is about 20 miles south of the Fort Irwin off ramp on 15, if your thinking the spot I'm talking about is Fort Irwin.
 
There's currently a shooting ban on BLM land, so check with the rangers before heading out. I imagine it will be lifted soon though now that the weather is cooling down. I was supposed to go out at the end of October, but that's probably not happening now. We're usually up by Ft Irwin too.
 
Thanks for the info all! Yeah, I know hodge rd from the calguns site, seems pretty popular. As previously mentioned, if anyone's down to meet up for a T4R 2A meet, let's do it! Btw, I'll be at ASR tomorrow to sight-in a couple rifles, playing hooky, look for the silver 5th gen. :)
 
Please pickup your shells. I drove out east from Joshua Tree to the I-10 and on our way out we passed through where everyone goes shooting. It was such a pile of trash area, freaking discrace. So many folks go out and turn the land into a junk yard, hell I've seen cleaner junk gards than the area we drove through just outside of JT.

What he said! But after a couple of miles on Berdoo Canyon, you will leave the BLM shooting area and it becomes a nice trail run for about 20 miles into the park.

Why we can't have nice things. Shooting on BLM is a privilege that can be taken away, don't need to make it easier for antigunners to get the few places shut down.
