Any of you cap off your vacuum lines? (2nd gen)

These vacuum lines get on my nerves. Have any of you caped yours off? I have the caps to do it. Are there any that cant be caped off for the engine to run right? Any advice will help. Thanks.

The 3VZE is not efficient or a power performer, it just has dependability. So, we just keep the emissions tip top to get the most mpg mileage. Add better cats if you need more performance.

I was told performance will be the same caped or not. I am not trying to improve performance. They just get in the way and I want them gone.
 
Well in regards in to all motors, regardless of make. The vacuum lines are there for a reason, toyota knew what they were doing when they designed their motors, why mess with it? How often do you really find yourself needing to remove the vacuum lines? I cant imagine that one would do that every day, or every week for that matter. All this may just be my opinion but im sure im not alone. There are many threads with this subject in mind, many thinking that removing the lines will increase performance. If that were the case then the motor wouldnt have had them in the first place

The vacuum lines are there to improve emissions, not make the engine run better. I was told I would still pass emissions without them, therefor I don't really need them.
 
Start by eliminating the ADD, you lose a bunch of lines there. There is a sensor with vacuum lines that can be plugged and removed on the power steering pump. Those two things alone will lose a bunch and not effect the running of the engine.
 
For what I understand, you should be able to just unplug the vaccum lines and replace them with a cap over the nipples. There are a few lines that have a bigger diameter hose, I am not sure if I can cap these or if they have to stay on.

Some vacuum lines are required to make the car run correctly, in the case of the fuel regulator. Some are used for emissions systems, some for the brake booster, the power steering pump, the ADD system on trucks that have it... There are several write ups on deleting, and bypassing systems that use vacuum lines. You can cap many of them off. You just need to know which ones. Does this answer your question?
