Yea - they just all look like they were in an accident and the fender flares got ripped off

I suppose you could use body filler and smooth out the body lines and paint it - but is a lot of work for an unknown outcome

yea I think the problem is the missing "body" under the flares. Unlike the 80 series/lx450 when you pop off the flares and are left with some holes to weld up but otherwise a smooth body, the missing chunks of body line I don't see looking good without the flares..

The front fenders wouldn't concern me, since I'm on glass fenders from a Tocoma on mine, and the rear could potentially look decent if you were trimming them out to stuff a 38-40" tire, but the door trim just has to stay in place.. that example above just looks ungodly lol

Does anyone know of larger fender flares for these trucks? I don't want to have to replace the entire front quarter panel with a crazy widebody shape.

if you want something wider than the 03-05 fenders, the front fenders and flares on the 06+ are wider. OR you can just go ahead and be a cool kid by purchasing fiberglass :gossip:

Just another option for those wanting to mess with the idea of fender modification (though this does get rid of your fender liner).

trim about 2-3" inches off the metal fender and plastic fender flare, add some paint underneath, maybe install a snorkel to keep your intake happy, and voila.

Currently doing this and installing a safari snorkel as we speak in order to clear 35's with as little fuss as possible.
