Any problems with motorized double din in 4th gen?

I have read some things that say a motorized face double din will not work in the 4th gen dash kits. Have any of you experienced this problem? I'm wanting to swap out my JBL head unit for a Pioneer touch screen and would like to know if this is a problem before I purchase it. Thanks for any input.

Not sure what you mean, the unit in my urban runner tilts/slides down and out to insert a disc. It's a dd unit with a tomtom built into the face. Don't see why they wouldn't work..

Depends. If you have a runner that came with a factory OEM CD changer, then you need to specify a dash kit that will fit the radio you want to install. There are 2 dash pieces (radio bezel comes molded to the center dashboard piece) from Toyota. One with and without the CD Changer.

Mine has the 6 disk changer and will definitely need the kit with the bezel. What I read is that the bottom of the face gets hung on the dash kit when it slides out. Maybe that was an isolated case. Can't remember where I read it.

Mine came with the CD changer too. When I installed my NAV, when opening the faceplate, it nicks the sides (or bottom) of the bezel. I don't open it often, but its annoying. I'm going to get the center dash piece (without the CD changer). On those, there are side and bottom black plastic pieces making the radio (NAV and non CD changer radios) fit ALOT nicer. Thing is: The whole center dash piece is about $350 from the dealer.

I have a Pioneer Z120 and it works great. I have an Urban Runner, so it had the TomTom unit. There is a trim piece for the UR's that fills the gap perfectly. The other trim pieces look like crap.
