Any Problems with removing XREAS?

Is there going to be any issues with the Premium Extended Warranty after removing the XREAS?

Nope none at all.

Mine has been off for 4 years and no issue what so ever.

[MENTION=126538]2nd Chance[/MENTION], he wasn't asking if there would be an issue with his T4R by removing the XREAS, he's asking if by removing the stock XREAS suspension would it affect his Extended Warranty in any way, such as voiding it, etc.

IMHO I would say you need to ask an agent for the extended warranty company this question, if they say it won't affect your insurance, I would ask for that in writing just to cover you if they say different after the fact/in the future.

The proper disconnect procedure is to lift the 4runner so that all 4 shocks are fully extended. Then, disconnect the lines at the junction points, these are located approx 1ft down the line from the shock. There are built in valves to prevent leaks.

I have read this multiple times. If someone is scrapping the system in its entirety, what difference does it make if it leaks during the take-off?

Also, why would anyone just disconnect the lines from the junction points to the shock leaving the rest of the system? Wouldn't it be just as easy to pull the whole thing out?

I hope to scrap the xreas soon on my 2004 limited. From the videos I watched online looks very straight forward no matter which way you tackle it.

1) Because the system is pressurized and you will likely get a jet or spray of hydraulic fluid if you don’t follow the FSM procedure.

2) I left mine b/c it was late & I had to be at work early the next morning. There’s no harm in leaving the brackets & tubing (it doesn’t weigh much) but I did eventually remove the rest of it.
