Any suggestion for taking out rear drum?

I just briefly glanced at this. But OP did you try using bolts that screw into the drum to pull it of ?

If the drum is rusted to the axle shaft the bolts will break it free. However, if the drum is free to move in and out and it feels like springs are keeping it from coming off then there is a metal lip on the inside edge that needs dealt with. A puller will pull it off but may break things in the process. Backing off on the star adjuster until you can remove the drum by hand is the only sure fire way to do it without causing more work. Then either replace the drum or grind off the lip.

wow... i did passenger side, but this driver side wouldn't even move. after 2 days of hammering and pouring wd40/gear oil all over the damn drum, i call this super super duper stuck. i even cut out the lip and tried hitting it with 10lb sledge hammer and it won't work.. i'm gonna make a trip to salvage yard someday this week and just get one from there. Drum won this battle.

This is why I don’t touch drums.

PITA.

Luckily the drums only have to come off once (or maybe twice) in the life of the rig.

I'm curious if the drum removal scored the OPs shoes which will indicate that it was the shoes holding up the drum removal and not something else.

If it was the shoes holding up the drum I'd just ask the OP to check that nothing bent in the intertwined mechanisms in his removal process.

One time I had the drum rust to the axle. All other times the lip on the edge of the drum prevented me from removing them without backing off the star adjusters far enough for the shoes to clear the lip. Then I either replaced the drum or ground off the lip.

2000 4runner 3.4L limited 4WD, can i use axle from 2.7L? or from 2WD drive?

Idk spline of axle shaft is same. Also, rear axle seal is 5 inches

inside of the axle housing unlike previous years make any difference? and one with ABS and without abs make any difference? currently, I don't use abs(took out abs fuse).

I doubt the gear ratio's will be the same as your front.
