Any way to test X-REAS?

I purchased my 4runner back in August. It's currently at 128k miles. I found some maintenance receipts in the glove box (bought from a dealer), but they were all oil changes, tires, and timing belt. I keep reading threads about the X-REAS failing with 50k miles. I'm not positive I'm on the original system, but I'd guess I am. I'm getting ready to lift, but whether or not I keep X-REAS will determine the lift setup I go with. Is there any way to test X-REAS to see if it's about to go out? How do I know if one of the shocks is bad? Thanks!

Take a close look at the shocks. My understanding is that they start leaking when they go bad. If yours are dry, they are most likely still good. Not sure if there is a test to determine if the shocks are on their way out though.

besides looking for any leaks, you could go to an empty parking lot, drive 30-40 mph, & take some sharp left & right turns. or some snake turns, (like zig zag ing thru cones).
