Anybody have these fiberglass fenders? Could you post or send me a pic?

So I racked up one of my fenders on my 98 LImited and ripped the flare off as well. Minimum cost for the parts (metal aftermarket fender & OEM flare) and shipping would be $300-$400, and then I would have to do all the paint and installation as well. So I am thinking, since I live in a high salt area, "w\What if I just buy a pair of fiberglass fenders that will never rust and maybe be a little lighter and improve my mileage too?"

I am looking at these: McNeil 96-02 4runner 4" Fiberglass Fenders | SRQ Fabrications

They are listed as having 4" flare (I think the Limited Flares are 2") If I were to buy these, would they look freakish with the OEM flares still on the rear? I do have the Sonoran Steel 1.2 Lift and usually run 255/85/16s

If you have these on your rig could you post a pic so I can get an idea what it would look like on mine? They look fairly normal on the rig on the website, but It's hard to tell with the lift and the tires on the rig in the picture.

My $0.02, I bet you can find a used fender in your color for a reasonable price. What color is yours?

Those will not be much lighter than the stock fenders and you will not see any mpg gain from them. I think the ones on my pickup act like parachutes and hurt the aerodynamics some.
Also, 99% of the offroad fiberglass fenders fit like crap and will require body work and massaging to get to fit right and line up.

I believe my color is "Evergreen Pearl" - dark green. I have looked at car-part.com, and craigslist in my area and have found nothing. It seems like the shipping on fenders is nearly prohibitive. For example, Rockauto has a bare fender for $43 but charges $150 for shipping. A big part of the problem is that I wrecked the bolt on plastic flare. I can find those for $80-100, but again, shipping is pricey because of the size of the item (so they say). I can get a new OEM flare from McGeorge Toyota for $219, with much lower shipping costs. Either way it seems like I am looking at $300-400 for parts on fixing this.

McNeil Racing/SRQ Fabrication claims that these fenders are 4 runner specific, not a Tacoma fender that "works," so I was hoping it was a good fit, but truthfully I have never worked with fiberglass fenders.

Aren't those fenders designed for use with a LT suspension? If so, I'm guessing it would look pretty weird to have them on while using a standard lifted suspension.

I think I found a primed replacement one on amazon that is supposed to be a good fit with free shipping. Now I just have to fix my flare somehow or find another

I too have been looking for a green limited front fender since November. Not so easy to find the right color locally. I'm not so interested in a new aftermarket unit even if the shipping is reasonable because odds are it will arrive damaged.

Please post back if it arrives ready to paint and bolt on (requiring no shipping repair). I'm interested in what UPS-proof packaging it comes in.

They might be close to fitting but, they will not fit like steel body panels.
Bolt holes will have to be drilled. Shims, washers, or spacers will have to be used. And corner light fitting usually involves some trimming or sanding.

I have never heard of anyone pulling a glass fender out of the box, and bolting it right on without some kind of modification. Good quality control just isnt used
