There's a hill at Hungry Valley that is marked off-limits to vehicles (only for dirt bikes) that Blair and I have done multiple times. I would say it's almost that steep, but it's also loose dirt, sand, giant ruts, 1-2 foot high shelves, etc. That video looks like it provided near perfect traction.

thankx man :lmao: I dont know, as with most pix/videos, Im sure the videos here are not doing the incline justice. Id have to see it in person, before Id say yes or no.

just yesterday, we did a trail that had a real rocky section, will very nice ledges, infact we call it "mini moab" no one thought Id take my "minivan" up it, lol well the 04 walked right up it :bigok:

We have many steep hills like that over here, but we only travel it on snow, so we usually only go downwards.....

It's interesting that a range rover is goin' up there... Very nice traction I'd have to say.

Man I miss my RRS. Never did anything like that but it was an animal in the deep sand on the outter beach. I have to get my runner out there, got the pass so it will be soon.

Very impressive. However, I think the camera angle over exaggerates the angle of that hill a bit, but impressive none the less. I might have the currage to go up it, but going down looks scary as hell.

I'm surprised the RRS didn't end over on the way down. You could see how light the back was. Also a front wheel up in the air going up a hill like that I would have to have some "Depends" on.

multiple times for both of you and no video...... seems like that would make for good viewing

That vid is very hard to judge. The trees say it's real, however, if you look at the man at the bottom and the grass on the hill, they say no. Most grass that short grows straight up. The rear suspension throws me off too. At one point I see the right rear tire come off the ground.

The angle is exagerrated by the view the hill camera used. You can see the horizon not being flat: look at :50 the horizon is about 15 degrees tilted to the left. The hill is steep but only about 45 vs the 65 or so the video tries to represent. Also see how steep the truck looks from the hill shot and when it cuts to the bottom shot. The bottom shows the real view.

Still I wounldn't do it, not even at 45.Though it does looks like a good spot to try out that downhill decent button.

I used to have an 05 Z71 Silverado, and I have climbed a hill that I would say is within a few degrees of that. Of course, it was not as effortless as those vehicles (involved some wheelspin even in 4HI), but it made it. As someone said earlier though, going down in the scary part.
