Anyone add a hi-lift jack to their pro roof rack

Being a Pro owner that has moved on to an aftermarket rack, I will say with confidence that I would never, ever mount a big bulky jack like that on the flimsy Pro rack.
Doesn't look like they have them in stock, but I used the Hill People Gear roof rack brackets on mine, along with the Hi-Lift locking knob and it has been solid for 18 months now.

I have mine mounted on the side of the rack. I only have the jack on there when I hit the trails or the beach. I lock it when on weekend trips if I’m not staying with the truck. I just use a small piece of galvanized chain and a pad lock. I loop the chain around the top rack bar and then put both ends of the chain in the pad lock which runs through the jack (red arrow in pic shows where I lock it down). I have the chain cut to perfect length so it’s snug and doesn’t rattle around.
Wish I mounted it lower or on the driver side but I already had traction boards on the driver side. If on the driver side, I could have had the handle on top vs on the bottom.

I have a victory 4x4 blitz front bumper and my truck is lifted and winced
the mounts I want need to be permanently on my roof rack and lockable for the rare occasions I do off road but I do go and I live in NYC so theft is a problem the hi lift doesn’t stay out but the night before I go I like to load it and go out early in the am
I checked out the gzila good choice but they are not lockable enough for me

Eh, I have used a hi lift as a winch for almost 2 decades and made many recoverys during that time including on my 5th gen in conjunction with a winch, (had to use a snatch block on the winch and the hilift pulling from the back to do a 360 tank turn on a precarious off camber situation I shouldn't have put myself in in the first place). To be honest I never really considered using the hilift as a jack until recently.
For those thinking of carrying it as a winch, do yourself a huge favor and get the hilift winch kit and a good 25' chain. We have made recoverys using the hi lift and making loops in a tow strap but trust me you will spend HOURS doing this, the winch kit from hi lift is not that expensive and I am only now considering leaving the hilift kit at home depending on what terrain I'm in since I have a winch and traction boards.
(Also don't think a hilift recovery is easy, it still sucks but will get you out). The last time I used it this past summer my steel winch line frayed right when I needed it most to go up a 8 foot steep sandy hill and couldn't get a good running start because the rear end was under water in the creek and mud. To move the truck 8 feet took me almost 2 hours and a lot of sweat, but it worked.
But to OP's question we used to carry the hilift on the stock crossbars with no problem. I can't imagine that your basket would be any more flimsy.
BajaRack makes a set that fits perfectly. It puts the jack on the outside of the rack. Will work on either side. Nice, well built and solid on the Stock PRO rack .

Yes- when there's nothing to secure my winch line to and need to lift a wheel to stuff logs, rocks, what ever under. Especially when your wheel has dug down and you're sitting on the frame. This comes in handy. Like many I don't daily the Hi-lift, too many tweakers looking for something to steal/sell.

I drilled a hole in 2 of the cross bars, added 1/2” 3” long stainless bolts and nuts with a steel sleeve spacer, locking Hi-Lift knobs, and done!
Where’d you get that wrench?? Also do you have to remove the top cross bar to remove and reinstall the jack ?

No, I don’t have to remove the crossbar. It would make it easier, but the bars can be adjusted where it’s a non issue
