If that price of $11,095 is what they're asking for a damaged 4Runner, that's way high. You can get an undamaged 4Runner for under $10k now. Also looks like the rocker panel is bent too.

In my area, there are over 10 4th gens between $8k-$10k. The first one that came up only has 98k miles too. I guess it's all relative on the location. I bought my '06 for $11,800 before taxes ($13,500 after) last summer.

That's what I am thinking...but of course buy the time the repairs are done and the interior, mechanical stuff is all sorted out.....may be up close to 10k anyhow.
I found a 2004 V8 4x4 w/ 140 miles at a indy lot for 7k. Drives really good. Motor/drive train feel good. The only blemishes seem to be the paint. Faded silver. But I want to turn it into some of the rigs I've that you all have. SO not too worried about the paint. I just want a vehicle that I can have fun with and don't really have to worry about.
I currently have a 2008 Tundra Limited that I want to sell. I'd need to use that money to purchase anything else. My primary mode of transportation is my 2011 HD Road glide and the Tundra pretty much sits. Absolutely nothing wrong with it other than I am not using it except for when the weather prevents me from riding. I love this truck...but it's time to move on to something else.
I've been lurking here for a few weeks and really like Redswan's set up. I want to go enjoy Florida's off road areas.

Bah! I hate you guys... I paid 19k for my '04 SE V8 4WD with 86k a year or two ago... crap is always expensive in the Bay Area... never see them dip below 14~16k around here with less than 100k.

That interior doesn't look all that bad. The front seats look like the leather is probably cracked, worn out. The rear door will need to be replace, the front door might be able to be massaged and/or replace the plastic trim piece. The Running boards will have to go. the bottom edge of the body looks like it might be dented in, I'd wonder about the running board brackets pushing into the body some.
All in all, if you're getting it for less than... eh, lets say $4000 its a steal. Worst case its trash, you part it out. Buying salvage is rarely a good idea for a car you're going to keep though.

Yeah but you guy's bought vehicles that you knew where sound.
This one I am looking at.....bought at auction, who know what the dealership has masked and there isn't a maintenance history on. So......it's one or the other. There are still Runners in that range that are comparable to your's so you didn't do bad at all. You know that you got a good vehicle.

Just purchased a 05 Limited V8 (2WD) with 45K mi from the original owner with all service records - dealer oil changes every 5K mi. Has Nav, JBL, tow package, sun roof, leather etc. Looks and smells close to brand new. I paid $16,250 after taxes and title transfer fees.

Well thanks for making me feel like I got ripped off. I paid $17000 for my 03 limited. But I did get $13500 for my 05 Highlander. 4R had 92k when I bought it.

I don't regret the purchase, I love my 4Runner. I was searching for almost a year before I bought it. Coincidentally it was the least expensive out of the options I had at the time.

im still too much in love with my Silverado i had. i regret getting rid of it so bad. The 4runner was quite an impulse buy.
I dont regret it at all. It was listed at $16995 and I was at $15k out the door when I left. But I know that I walked away with a great vehicle. It had all the service records, both keys, and the original window sticker.
If I were you, Id look around a little more. I can across several decent runners in the $9k range that were much better than that one. Find yourself a solid truck and start there. Who knows that kind of other problems that thing might have.

Lol mine was listed for $17,995 and got it for $13,500 out the door. That KIA dealer had no idea what they had I guess.
