Anyone deal with salvaged vehicle? 4Runner

im still too much in love with my Silverado i had. i regret getting rid of it so bad. The 4runner was quite an impulse buy.

I never liked many of the GM trucks or Ford for much more than serious work trucks. The interiors (particularly GM & Dodge) were always rather "90's" and subpar IMHO. Not saying they should have wood trim, but hell if Imma spend $50k on a fully decked out truck, at least lets give it some style inside!

Tried to buy a few copart 4runners. That will go for over 5k. Not much of a bargain. I just bought a 03 SR5 with 131,000 for 4k. It had been oil sludged. But I put the engine from my wrecked one and it's going great now.

Ouch! Maybe I just got a hell of a deal....I just payed $8'000 flat...2004 sport edition v8 4x4....102k miles.....no defects but I did replace brake pads rotors calipers up front....

In my area, there are over 10 4th gens between $8k-$10k. The first one that came up only has 98k miles too. I guess it's all relative on the location. I bought my '06 for $11,800 before taxes ($13,500 after) last summer.

I looked at 4Runners in NJ because they were all so damn cheap. Ended up getting one locally because no where in NJ wanted a 2wd Tacoma for a trade in.

Side note: I've heard issues with rust in NJ/NY/PA area but I guess that varies vehicle to vehicle.

Lol mine was listed for $17,995 and got it for $13,500 out the door. That KIA dealer had no idea what they had I guess.

I just got mine from a KIA dealership lol. Listed price was 22K I told them no way I can do that. They worked with me and originally said the max they could give on trade for my 06 double cab tacoma was 11K. I started to walk out and in the end they gave me $16,500 for the Tacoma and marked the 4runner to $19 out the door. I thought I got a decent deal on an 08 4x4 sport with only 60k miles.

I just agreed to paid $15.5k for a '06 with 57k miles on it. I could have sworn it was brand new when the guy pulled up. The interior was seriously almost flawless. Owned by an older gentlemen who garaged stored it. I hope to finally pick it up Saturday (waiting fo DMV to mail title before I officially buy).

Had an offer for an '06 with 110k miles for $10.9k. It was in pretty good condition too!
