Anyone do a fog light mod?

I just acquired my first 4Runner and it's the SR5 model, as I'm sure your already aware it has a spot for a fog light but I was wondering if anyone has put an aftermarket light in its place or one from a different vehicle.
I've found used sets for the 4Runner for around $150. Seems high, plus I like being different.

For 90% of people out there, a fog light is unnecessary 95+% of the time, and should be left off unless actually needed (and headlights should be off when fogs are needed and used).

If you just want the look of them, thats one thing, but the majority of time they should be left off.

If you want something different, but that actually performs effectively as a fog light, check out jw speaker brand LED fogs. Probably the best, *actual* foglight on the market, not that theres much competition.

I did the hella micro de custom fog lights as well. Mine and Brilliants are basically identical. He has a link to his on his thread. The custom fog lights are the most useful mod Ive done to my truck. I work second shift, and drive home in the country every night. The stock head lights have a terrible light pattern, and with regular bulbs are not bright. So I literally use my fog lights every night. great mod for night driving. Heres mine

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but no need to create another. What are you all using for mounting brackets on these Hella fogs?

That is sweet how it was done on his older bumper. I'm wondering what people do with the '00 style bumper.

Thanks

Hella made a 2000-2002 4runner specific MicroDE kit, with mounting brackets included. Unfortunately no longer available. I was lucky enough to fine one, new and never used, on Ebay
