Anyone done 3M undercoating instead of Dynamat?

Bought a 2011 SR5 and have been a little surprised at the road noise. Considering some type of sound deadening, and have read threads of guys doing Dynamat or other similar products.

I did a search but didn't find anything in particular about 3M undercoating.

My questions is: Has anyone attempted this on the inside of doors vs. dynamat type products?

This was suggested to me by a friend who works in a body shop as an alternate option, so figured I would ask everyone here for opinions.

Can't say about the 3M product but I've done the entire interior with RAAMaudio's RAAMmat BXT II and am very happy with the results.

I tried an automotive grade undercoat in my Tacoma. It did not seem to do much if anything, perhaps more than a single coat would have been better, but I think the problem is, spray on leave no air mixed in, where as tar mat and fiber leave more air layers (insulation).
