Anyone Else Waiting for Their New 4Runner

Mine arrived in the port July 25. So almost a month ago. Still nothing. Still waiting.

Well, that sucks. The dealer has no update? I wonder how often that happens?

I finally received the call last Monday.. I pick up my Pro on 8/17. The wait is over and its time to enjoy it.

SO ordered my White TRD Pro on 6/7. It hit port on 7/29 and was told it will take 10 days to process and be delivered. Well not true! We are told it will arrive between 8/15 and 8/19 at the dealer. Lets just say one would think they could give me a definite since this is not a little toy even Amazon is spot on 95% of the time. The wait is killing me for sure but oh well.

By the way the Port in in NY and I live in PA.

been waiting for the 2017 trd pro, so i can get cement gray. hopefully they'll start taking orders next month.

Quick update today that its still not in (surprise). Dealer is hoping its in this week yet. Fingers crossed.

Well the transport wait is over my silver trail is at the dealer. I went by to inspect it this afternoon and drop off the lift parts. I met with the service department and received loads of attention given they were putting the lift on. The tech that is doing the install is a young lady who seemed to know her stuff and was excited to do the job. In typical gear head fashion she tore into the parts before introducing herself. Then she sent the next 15 minutes telling about her 4th gen with 35's. I hope to pick it up tomorrow and no later than Wednesday. Sorry no pictures but waiting on the final install of parts.

finally took delivery this morning in ATL. Absolutely love this truck so far! Now I gotta read the manual and get smart on it.

I'm using a toytec boss lift with new upper control arms. The labor was worked into the deal at supposed employee pricing. I guess one never really knows but I was told they quoted mine at the same price one of the salesmen paid for his bilstein upgrade sometime back. I do know the quoted price was only a little more than 4wheel parts quoted for just the riser plates on the front. But with any car deals I'm sure they are profiting all the way around but I feel I got a very fair deal as well.

^ I would assume yours should arrive any day now to the dealer being you are close to the Portland Port. Mine arrive to the Portland Port almost a month ago but still nothing. I think I am the last one on the forum still waiting for a truck that landed in the Port back in July

Also new to forum, picking mine up this Friday Quicksand TRD Pro . I was late to the show regarding ordering so had to fish around for dealers with inventory, luckily found a cancelled order that was exactly what I was looking for! 4 hour drive away but gonna make a weekend of it [emoji4]

Still waiting...

Got an update on 8/9 that my TRDP had arrived at port. Ok. Waited til next contact on 8/17, when I got the update "still waiting for port processing". Today, 8/24, received an e-mail from my sales guy saying "your 4Runner has hit the port, just waiting on processing and the final shipping eta".

Is this guy all there? Called. No response. E-mailed. No response. I think I'll switch salespeople.

2017 TRD Pro

I am waiting patiently for a 2017 TRD Pro. Trying to find details on what changes if any were made from the 2016. Best I can determine is that it might have real leather. Can anyone confirm this? Also, the car salesman I am working with said he heard a rumor the engine is changing to mirror what is in the Tacoma. Anyone heard this?

I don't think you guys will see a 17 Pro in November. I heard earliest we could see a Pro stateside would be January

Nope. Only change you are getting is color for 2017. Toyota is not going to toss in a brand new engine for the last remaining year of a vehicle. No manufacturer does that.

Gen 6 is when you'll most likely see that.

They would put real leather in a TEP before they would place it in a TRDP. Neither will be getting full leather.

And January is when people will more than likely see 2017's. Not sure where these November and prior rumors are coming from.

I echo this. My volume dealer told me this week when I picked up my '16 that they didn't really have any details for '17. They were told to expect them late fall/winter timeframe at the earliest. No major changes are planned outside colors which they didn't know about.

Timing

I bought a 2016 TRD Pro last November, just before Thanksgiving. I live in Jacksonville, FL where the main east coast port of entry is located. Maybe that helped in quicker timing. Fingers crossed I can land a 2017 this November or early December. Would love to take a new Cement colored TRD Pro up North during Christmas vacation with the family. Going to be letting my son drive the 2016 RTD Pro in white. He does not know how lucky he is...
