Anyone Else Waiting for Their New 4Runner

Got another update today. 4Runner anticipated delivery 9/9-13. Ordered 7/9, built 7/15, hit port 8/8 or 8/24 (can't get a straight answer from the sales guy), delivery 9/9-13. I asked him for a picture of dealer daily. No reply. Called him for an update the other day. No reply. He doesn't seem to want my money.

^ this is unacceptable behavior on a $42k+ purchase. I would cancel my order and take my business elsewhere. While these rigs are rare, you can work with more professional dealerships

I agree. We worked briefly with another sales guy there when we were searching for the FJ. He's still there and remembers test driving the FJ on their lot to our house to see if it would fit in the garage.
That was over a year ago. I think we're just going to switch to him since we allegedly have a vehicle coming our way through this dealership already.

What dealer are you dealing with? I'm supposed to pick up our MGM TEP w/KDSS (was already built and in transit) from Arapahoe on the 31st. Have talked to a salesman at Groove Toy & Scion that will have a similarly spec T4R in at any time (possibly right now).

I'm working with Autonation Arapahoe. I think they've been fine for all service work I've done with them in the past, and even when I was searching for an FJ with them previously. Honestly, I just think it is this sales guy who isn't responsive and doesn't really care.

picked her up last Friday with 1 mile on the dash, 4 days later already at 1100. Road trip down to SoCal the next day

Looks killer in white. They build them to drive them so enjoy! I never understood watching miles on vehicles. You are paying for it, so rack up the miles! Have fun!

Sales guy says can't get the above data from inventory manager. Getting rough estimates as to when vehicle might turn-up. Not even the actual build date. Does anyone know how Toyota allocates new builds. I'd have thought that once its entered in the system then a build date gets allocated within a couple days?
When's the latest one can make a change to factory installed option?

waiting on a super white TRD pro. placed deposit on 7/11. 30 days in, no build. 60 days in, no response from salesperson. *sigh* i wish there was some kind of movement since others have made quick progress on their builds. maybe i'll be in for a 2017 since we're nearing the end of the year?

I stopped in at a dealer today and the salesman told me I could order a 2017 today and it would be here in November... I bet that is where the rumors are getting started. I'm betting he was just saying what he thought I wanted to hear, try to get me in the door to buy a car today... =\
