anyone else with a bad experience for Camelback toyo?

Edit: camelback opened and was able to provide the customer service needed. It just seems all that happened below was a long line of unfortunate timing. I'll most likely be a return customer.

So I ordered a bunch of parts through them for some preventative maintenance. Last Friday went to install UBJ, LBJ, OTRE, & new steering boots. I found that the passenger LBJ was mispackaged from Toyota and had a driver side LBJ in the passenger bag.

Called CBT and they apologized profusely and said they would overnight the correct one after personally verifying the correct part and it should arrive before noon Saturday.

I didn't get any info sent to me for the second shipment. Didn't see anything turn up Saturday. Checked my apartments management office that sometimes signs for packages if no one answers the door. Nothing.

Called FedEx this morning and they cannot find any package listed for my address... CBT doesn't open for another 2 hours and every dealership local to me can't get it tomorrow.

My alignment is all screwed and took off work today thinking the box was just locked in the office. And i could get everything fixed today. Now I'm not so convinced and am screwed it seems.

/rant

Anyone else dealt with them? I was hoping this is just a freak occurrence.

I'm confused as to how this is a bad experience? They'll probably overnight one today and you'll have it tomorrow. You can't blame them for a mis-packaged box.

They said they would have it out Friday and would be here by noon Saturday. I talked to them on the phone those were his words. I'm curious to hear what he says when I call when they open.

Saying you'll ship something and then not, is the bad experience. Saying you'll ship something and provide no tracking info is an annoying experience. Or finding out you can't send it when you said you will and not informing the customer is a bad experience.

Had he told me he can't get the part to me by Saturday I could have at least gotten it locally Saturday at a local dealership....

I just ordered my LBJs from them last week and got them within 5 days. My experience was great. I received the tracking info through FedEx

I'd see how they handle it today, having this issue going into a weekend probably threw a wrench in the spokes.

I got the first box in a timely manner... With tracking info. I had no issue then. I had no issue when solving the issue from Toyota's (not their) mistake.

I'll wait to see what they say when I call them.

I'd double check you received two correct LBJs I just checked the PNs on the bags and it burned me

I don't think this is a common thing.

I've ordered parts from them before without issue.

I guess they lost you as a customer. No big deal for you though as there are lots of alternatives out there.

Alright so I take anything ill back.

I was able to talk to George at camelback just now. Apparently the FedEx truck tried to deliver 15 mins before the office was open and my roommate who was supposed to be in the apartment all day studying had left for whatever reason.

It is out for delivery today.

All was just bad timing I suppose. Now just waiting for a knock by the FedEx guy so I can go get my truck in order.

FedEx should have left a door tag....

Final Update:

So after 4 calls to FedEx I finally hear that the address on the box is incorrect. Seems the shipping department at Camelback "finger fudged" the house number as "21" vise "201" a simple mistake. Being that there is no "21" you would think that FedEx would contact the shipper to see about a correct address, or at least one of the call responders at Fedex, before my fourth call where I asked to speak directly to a manager, would ask to confirm the address. Espcially since it was a FedEx Express shipment and was supposed to be at my door before noon (it was at the time almost 4pm)

After we found the issue of the wrong address, my package was delievered 20 mins later.

I let CBT know for their own records and Jorge gave me a coupon for my next order and apologized again.

It all was just a bunch of worst circumstances but the part finally got here and will be replaced today along with some 99 rear springs and aligned after work.

Just wanted to provide the last bit of information for anyone that was following. I will most likely use CBT again. Their prices can't be beat, and (in most cases) their service is good as well.
