Anyone ever deal with returning/exchanging parts at Partznet?

So I had ordered '06 taillights two weeks ago and when I got them one of the lights had two scratches on them. I shipped it back the next day(5/4, they got it 5/5) and there has been no update from them on the website about my order and I haven't gotten my replacement part yet... it's been over a week! I've sent messages but who ever is responding to them hasn't been much help.

Has anyone dealt with having to return/exchange stuff because it seems like they take a really long time. I would think they would be quick about it since they sent me a damaged part.

Did you contact them to let them know you were returning them? Most companies require you call and get a return authorization before you send it back. If you didnt do that your package might just be in limbo because they don't know why it came back.

They also have a phone number you can call, they probably aren't open today but that is usually the best way to figure stuff like that out. 1-800-825-7128 ext.5.

Yeah I used the form on the website to return the item... but it still says "pending return" when I know that they got the shipment from UPS last friday. I also called them up and they guy just said I should get it by the end of this week... which did not happen.

So yeah... not really happy with their service right now. Especially since I had to pay to return the damaged part to them in the first place.

With my job I have to send things back for warranty quite often, and even though things arrive right away, it is still "pending" because they either "a" don't have enough people staffed to do the job. Or "B" they are just backlogged and they haven't gotten to you return yet. I wouldn't fret. I am sure you will get taked care of.

Does anyone know who the manager or contact person is at partznet? I still haven't gotten a reply from them about my exchange and everytime I call some guy named Frank picks up then transfers me to their answering machine. At this point I'm pretty much fed up with their "customer service" and just want a refund.

The best way to take care of the answering machine is to either try hitting zero when the message is playing (most systems will take you back to the operator) or simply call right back and demand that you want to speak to a person, not a machine. Just get in their face. There is someone you can talk to, there always is. This happens with my boss a lot and he gets pissed, but when he starts getting irritated with them and starts to tell them what to do, opposed to asking nicely, they seem to be able to all of a sudden get the person you were trying to talk to on the phone.

V8Limited4wd,

If you used a credit card, you can also file with your credit card company and you don't have to pay until the issue is resolved.

Good luck.

update:

after two weeks of waiting i finally got my replacement taillight today!

i just hope this isn't a regularly occuring thing over at partznet.
