So I've done a lot of research on "good ole' P0446", which lead to me replacing the fuel cap and resetting the PCM (with no luck). From there I just kind of let it be as the sensors were good and I wasn't going to spend $$$ on replacing the charcoal canister (and didn't want to remove and potentially re-seal it at the time).
I just brought the truck in to a trusted indie shop for some maintenance and had them double check my thinking and they are telling me that it is a bad ECM? This is using their diagnostic steps and troubleshooting tree.
I don't see any history of people having these two codes combined, so was curious to get other people's thoughts on this. An ECM from Toyota would be $$$ that I am not prepared to sink into my ride currently. Can you swap ECM's assuming the vehicle shares the same configuration (2002 Sport with 4WD)?
It drives perfectly fine, minus the check engine light and VSC/Trac lights constantly being on.
