Anyone ever Retrofit 3rd row?

I have a 2010 Trail.

It has the cool slide out rear tray....
but I was wondering if anyone has tried to retro fit a third row by ditching the tray and installing the third row in it's place (along with the rear seat I would presume).

My wish would be to do this instead of selling it for something with a third row.
Kids are bigger now and car-polling favors are building up....

From someone whose T4R Limited came with 3rd row seats (purchased used), forum members aren't kidding or exaggerating when they say the rear seats were designed for children and hobbits. I'm 6'0" and I physically cannot enter the 3rd row with the 2nd row seat slid forward and angled. Maybe someone who's 5'5" or smaller, but definitely not most adult men.

Hopefully your kids are small and/or hobbits.

Bullshit, I'm 6'2" and I can get back there.

I'm not saying it's easy, but it's a hell of a lot comfier than the back seats in my old 2000 Tacoma. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Agreed...have had multiple teenagers with a few in the 6'3"+ range sit back there...just slid all the other seats/rows forward to accomodate - it can be done. I did question how comfortable they were, but they're teenagers and don't care.

That must be the secret; to slide all other seats forward. I refuse to move my front seats forward, therefore cannot fit into the back with the 2nd row slid forward against the back of the front passenger seat.

Update: The front passenger seat is actually already at a point where the 2nd row won't go any further forward. So that's not the issue. I guess the issue now is that I'm simply not a gymnast.http://imgur.com/JVG45rb
