Anyone have experience with Goodyear Assurance Fuelmax tires? (for snow)

Hey everyone,

I recently got a new job that will require me to head up and over our slushy mountain pass a couple of times per week. My truck currently has these Goodyear Assurance Fuelmax tires that it came with, and they still have quite a bit of tread left but since I will be going over the pass a few times a week I wanted to see if anyone can shed some insight into how well they perform in the snow? I haven't had a chance to use them in the snow yet, in the rain they seem to work well, but I'm not sure about the white stuff (let alone ice).

If they aren't all that great, which to be quite honest they look as though they won't be due to the tread patter/depth (and mixed online reviews), I think I will go with Pirelli Scorpion ATR's as the tire shop nearby has a good deal on them. Any experience with the Scorpions?

Thanks, I did end up seeing that and it reaffirms my potential decision to buy Scorpions if necessary. That said, I am still trying to get opinions on the Goodyears I have now, I will only be going up in the snow a couple times a week, but the pass is steep and snow is slushy/warm most of the time.
