Anyone have pics BFG KO2s 265/70/17 stock rims no lift?

I have KO2's on my Yukon, and have black walls out, I don't care for the white walls out.

All of these KO2's are either/or correct? I cannot remember if you can, I def don't want white lettering out.

I have 30 miles on the stock Dunlops and am pulling them off

Am I seeing your wheels in the correct light? Are those gun metal grey? Didn't know they made those in that color, looks great.

My local Toyota has a set of the gun metal grey ones. Look really good.

Yes, they are grey, graphite, gun metal... The dealership I got my 4R from ordered them for me. I got them for $170 each before tax. I have the stock size 265 KO2s on them.

I hardly hit the trails..95% on road. I'm afraid they may be too aggressive for mainly street use.

The only thing I'm afraid of is any possible road noise that might come up since my car is also my daily commuter. However I've got the itch to start getting on the trails more and I do want something capable and I don't want to regret my decision later. Sigh.

I saw a 2015 trail with 275s this weekend and they looked rather "full" for the fender wells, but the guy said he'd had no scrubbing problems. So, I'd say 265 would be perfect. I'm wondering how 275 would do with a 1 inch lift. I hit bottom a couple of times in Hurricane trail this weekend and didn't like that to much..

KO2 265/70/17 on stock wheels no lift. They look and perform awesome, especially at 13,000 ft!

After this run, I washed the truck (fortunately all the scratch marks came off) and put on Armor All tire black and it looks really sharp. These tires are also surprisingly quiet on the highway.

A couple of points, since we seem to have similar vehicles.

1) Awesome pics. I can't get to 13K in Oregon without flying.
2) Like the tires. Probably heading that way
3) Sliders - did you install them yourself? I've got KDSS, and reading other people's comments, I'm apprehensive, despite years of wrenching (on old cars!) I can deal with challenges, I just don't want to "fight" the install. And, based on what I want to do, I actually "need" sliders"
4) Damn you. The Prestigious Society stuff is what I need. Arrgh. More money! I'd never heard of it until I saw the links in your sig line. They are awfully cryptic about install. Assume it was actually plug and play?

Yep, the KO2 are awesome. I've had them off road, deep snow, and highway. I'm most surprised by highway performance. Smooth and quiet.

I got RCI sliders. Installed them myself in an afternoon. Bolt on. It was a little unnerving pushing part of the metal between the frame and the KDSS lines because it was a tight fit. But nothing to worry about. Just use common sense. I took off the factory skid plate for the KDSS cylinder and loosened the brackets that hold the lines to the frame but I did not disassemble the KDSS itself. My picture above--I did hit those sliders once or twice on that run! I aired down to 20 psi which put me a couple inches closer to the ground. Glad I had 'em.

If you search the 5th gen forum for prestigious society and my user name proimion you'll find pics of the install. Also in my ham radio install link. Pricey but nice to let my passenger enter an address while we are cruising.

Purchased these at Costco last Monday
Great through water and mud!! Can't wait on try them out on the snow. This is my daily commuter I drive 4 days a week to and from work, which adds up to 250 miles in 4 days. Than do trail driving on the weekends. I find the ko2s actually not as noisy as the goodyear wrangler sr-a tires that the stealership put on after I bought the vehicle. I will never go back to those wrangler tires. These are amazing. I feel a bit safer driving it with the better and bigger traction depth it has on it.

Last month I swapped them for KO2 and the ride comfort did not change at all (still quiet, soft and smooth). However from the reviews I red, KO2 should be better in snow and shallow mud. How would you compare the AT2s vs the KO2's in terms of road noise and NVH introduced into the cabin? Your post is making me lean towards the KO2s now. Thanks for the input.

How would you compare the AT2s vs the KO2's.

In 1995 Tacoma 4x4 Ex cab (4-cylinder) neither one was noticeable. But 95 Tacoma is not "as nice car as 5th gen 4Runner", so it does not make the perfect platform for comparison. The thread was still deep and ride smooth but when I had flat, the repair shop refused to fix a 10 years old tire. That was an excellent excuse to get a new set of KO2. At the same time I changed the size from 235/75R15 to 30x9.5R15 - not much bigger but they look way better. Ride quality was the same. I'm running 35psi on Tacoma now.

Before I put KO2 on 4Runner, I heard some pickup truck running MT or AT tires on a street and hell, the noise it made was like 747 taking of. At this point I got a cold feet about KO2. Then after reading many reviews (I mean hours and hours spent on the Internet) I decided to pull the trigger (could not pass $50 off per tire deal). I was surprised that they are actually less noisy then the factory Duelers I had.

My experience with Bridgestone tires is not good :repuke:. I had them on Mazda 5 since new. They we fine first year, then they turned to "Flintstone" wheels. At 45k miles (3 years) they were near the end of thread life. I replaced them with Micheline tires and man, I loved Mazda again.

I bought 1 year old 4Runner with 20k on original Bridgestone Duelers. The thread was very deep but the ride was harsh. Same feeling as I had in Mazda after 1 year. At 38k miles and 3.5 years Duelers still had 9/16 deep thread, but I gave the whole set away for 80 bucks and I installed KO2. And again, same feeling as with new Michelin on Mazda. It's like getting a brand new car.

I still have Bridgestone on 1 year old Nissan Versa Note, and they start to act like "Flintstone tires". Even my Versa has only 3k miles, the ride is now harsh. They will be gone soon - Micheline, here I come.

I love the look and I love black side out! Looks awesome - I am a looooong time BFG AT guy - best road manners of all the AT's imo - plus I love the updated design on KO2 with the meatier side wall.

Me too.

I have the OEM Bridgestones and after the first few thousand miles they actually wore in pretty nicely. I love they way it feels on the highway, and don't want to lose that, my wet weather traction, or have an increase in noise.

Would I be happy going to KO2s? I've been ready to pull the trigger at Discount Tire for a while now, but worried about ruining the ride quality and potential balancing issues.

You will be happy with the BFG's good manners, good ride and hella reliable

Really like those RCI sliders. How much rocker ground clearance did you lose? Not planning to lift mine and it already looks like it sits relatively low.
