Just moved to Smyrna from Cookeville, i don't really know of any places around here but i have a few in the cookeville area.

There is a place out by burgess falls that some of the locals call cane hollow. Its a unregulated boat ramp on the lake with a couple of trails. A lot of people go out and camp/fish/shoot. Cane hollow is a road, i would just search it on google maps.

There is another place called Shit Creek. its in baxter down Pow road. Thats where the picture was taken that i uploaded.

Ill be in Chattanooga Dec 3-8 for a climbing trip. Would love to get a ride together or be pointed in a good direction to find some trails to play on. Any info in appreciated and some wheeling buddies would be AMAZING. I roll solo far too often....

Lots of good places around chat area, adventure off road "AOP" is a park not to far from Chattanooga, there is also the "cove". I'd love to get out and ride some just to much going on, maybe some others can make it out. Good luck hope you enjoy the area.

The Cove is in the Sequatchie Valley area near Whitwell and Tracy City. It's a fun secluded place to ride.

Is it good for stock runners? My 97 is bone stock with e-locker. No rock rails or skids.

I went this last spring with my bone stock 2001 with saggy springs and wearing street tires. She made the whole run without being winched once. With the locker you should be able to walk over it without issue.

That said, the tired suspension and slippery tires meant that i banged the hell out of my underside and rockers a lot more than I'm happy with, so i won't be back till I've got sliders and a new suspension.

The Tennessee Dirt Devil is about 200 miles of 100% public access roads. It's all older beat up barely used country/farm roads and a mix of road surfaces. Says 80% dirt/gravel bar/creekbed with lots of creek crossings and the other 20% is paved roads that connect the dirt roads together.
The routes were all researched and checked out by a guy who rides dual purpose motorcycles. He then drew up a map to share which he sells(I already picked one up) . But so far I found a lot of stuff from the dual purpose fourm and the jeep guys in the area. The roads are located southwest of Franklin out in the countryside.

Cool. A buddy and I are planning to possibly check out some of it between Christmas and the 4th. Not exactly sure what day yet. From what I've read any stock 4x4 will have no problem. Real easy mellow ride.
