Anyone in Sac or Roseville area?

I found a guy who is parting out a 2001 Tundra with what I assume to be the y/y y/b coils still on the truck. I want to buy them but the guy doesn't know what price he wants and is weary about shipping them to me in Santa Cruz. I'm wondering if anyone from this area (Tundra located in Roseville) would possibly help me out by buying the coils off the guy (I will pay you ahead of time and if he and I can make a deal) and shipping them to me. He seems reluctant to ship them and I can't make the drive up there to get them. If you can pull them off the truck too I would include a bonus, because this guy doesn't seem to know squat about his truck and I don't want him messing them up or not including everything. I will give you a bonus regardless for your time.

I used to live in Roseville... my best friend and the best man in my wedding was in Folsom (and a mechanic) but just moved out of town, otherwise I would have someone for you...

They might be a good deal if this guy will ever agree upon a price. I told him 125 for both and they have 80k on them. He doesn't know anything about his truck and really shouldn't be parting it out. Hopefully it benefits me in the end. I found a tundra at a salvage yard with the trd off road package and the side I was looking at had the y/y coil. I was stoked to randomly find one so close to home, but when I went around the other side, the whole set up was missing. They sold only one coil. What a let down.

On a side note, would a 3" tundra lift kit work on a 3rd gen for up front? There is a guy selling one for 200 in town still in the box. I would assume it would lift the front a lot high, but the mounting might be different.

Hey, I called this guy acouple of hours ago already, I offered him $140 and he gave me a price of $160. I could possibly get it for $150. I told him I wouldn't be able to pick it up until Sunday. I'm heading up north to Marysville to my in-laws and Roseville is on the way there. I'm almost certain i'll be buying them from him. I told him to double check the coil assembly but he couldn't do it because he wasn't home. I will call him back Saturday.

Yeah, only problem is that I don't have the time to pull the coils off. Hopefully I can convince him to take it off for me. If he can't do that, then I guess I'm gonna have to pass on it. I'll let you guys know by saturday.

I actually thought about that when I first made my thread about the price of Tundra coils a couple of weeks ago when I first talked to this guy. I would have bought them by now, but my girlfriend had to be in the hospital for a week before delivering our baby girl. I guess it was a good compromise.:biggrin2:

I'll allow the thread hijack because I started it. Thanks I appreciate it. We are getting the BOB stroller which in my opinion is the 4runner of the stroller world. I will have to through a t4r.org sticker on it though.

Actually no, I didn't have a chance to leave my in-laws, got caught up doing other things and didn't have time. So I believe this guy still has them for sale.
