anyone in Vancouver got 33's

I'm gonna be getting some new treads and would like to find someone in the Vancouver area to see what the clearance is like.

Sizes I'm thinking of are 255/85/16 or 285/75/16.

I realize there are a lot of threads regarding fitment and such, however I would be more comfortable seeing in person.

Keep in mind that depending on the brand the sizes can vary rather largely, Tire rack has a good chart with actual measurements on their website (for the tires they carry). Id say go for the 285's unless your lookin for that NATO Land Rover look.

Do you have any lift? If not, 265/75/16 is as big as you can go before clearance becomes an issue.

I agree, and I think it would look odd without a lift since it would have a riding on balloons look.

255/85/16 are also taller than 33's, being around 34's.

Just remember the 255/85 will be skinner and have less rubbing issues than the 285's.

Thanks all for the tips. I know am aware of all that has been posted here and have researched a fair bit also. Just that there are still a vast number opinions and experiences. So I thought that if I can actually see one in the flesh I'd get a better picture.

I have seen the skinny 33's and will be the KM2's if I do get them since they are much cheaper than the Open Country MT and can't seem to be able to find anyone carrying Maxxis tires as I was interested in the Big Horns. If I go the the 285's then I'll be choosing between the KM2, MTR Kelvar and Cooper ST MAXX or STT.

My truck will have the TRD/LC suspension set up and I will be putting the tires on stock split 3 spoke wheels most likely.
