Anyone installed LED lights at this location of the front grill?

I'm looking for some info if you've installed LED light bars at the location in the picture, circled in red. I'd guess two 10" long bars will be sufficient but not sure about the physical size of the lights due to the space limited area of the grill.

I'm not looking for lights to light up things far away (so that may help with using smaller lights maybe), but only to light up the area directly in front of me so that I can gauge the terrain in the dark when I pull up to a potential camp site. The headlights are bright but they're made to throw the lights far away and I'm looking to flood the area directly in front of me, say less than 100' or so.

I'm aware of all the LED light bar solutions in the lower part of the bumper and the various brackets and such. I want my lights to be as high as possible but NOT on top of the roof! This may not be realistic but wanted to get some feedback.

Not sure you would need much in brackets. I would probably just drill holes in the grill to mount there. The wiring would be the only tricky part I suppose.

I have the lower grill mount by cali. It can be adjusted to aim up down etc. It has no problem lighting up the trees and sky. I use the bar for what you are wanting to do. I always seem to arrive to campsites after work in the dark. eyourlife sells a nice wiring harness with wireless remote for 16.99 right now. I can turn the light bar on from my tent when I have to get up and piss. Can't beat it.

Someone one here has, I can’t recall who it is! I do remember it was a little work to accomplish. I’ll spend about 1-2 minutes and see if I can find it!

thanks for your input. I guess I classify the lower light location the same as my stock lower bumper fog lights. They serve a purpose and that is to light up the terrain nice and low during inclement weather. This is super handy for those of you driving in heavy snow or even in heavy fog. My thinking is that any light installed at that level will not be as effective as a higher mounted light. However, modern LED bars with 135deg spread would do fairly well unless you are on a trail that is overgrown and the LED light is getting blocked while you're driving.

Secondly, I feel that depth perception *could* be an issue from that low mounted vs a higher mounted light. Again, I'm thinking of arriving at a camp site at late night, totally exhausted, punchy and f'ing starving. This is about the only time when i'd make idiotic decisions based on poor feedback from from the front.

I'm splitting hairs, i know.

You'd be surprised how well it actually works. I ran a couple flood pods down in that lower section and angled them out to the sides like ditch lights kinda and they did a great job lighting up the area outside of the headlights/fog lights.

I used a piece of angle iron to create a mount. Then mounted to that. Had to rip it all out when I got the front bumper though.
