anyone know how much space is under seat for amp

As you can see from my photo of install there is some space but its definatelly limited if you want 100% stealth install. This Hertz amplifier is one of the smallest you can find for the power (700 watt RMS @ 2 ohm) and its dimensions are 8.5 x 7.5 x 2". Try to find amplifier that is not much taller than 2.5-3", my power driver seat will not accommodate anything thicker than 3" when at lowest setting. Just looking at the picture I would say you can go as long as double the length of my amp, thus up to 15 inches. Width, you can probably accommodate up to 12" wide without it being sticking out on the back of your seats at the rear.
Both of my amplifiers installed in same manner and they are not visible at all. As you can see on front of the seat there is a duct for HVAC and it really limits you how far you can go forward with your amplifier. One of the issues is that in winter (if applicable to you) hot air will be blown on amplifier which may be not the best thing. If not for that duct, there is a ton of space for virtually any 1-2-4 channel amplifier

I have this amp under my passenger seat, to power my 2 front door speakers, and It's probably as big as you can fit under there. If you look just right from the back seat, you can see some of the wiring under the seat. If you'll click on the spec part, you can see the dimensions.

Maybe just me, but I would never put an amp in a confined space like that with a heat vent shooting right at it.

LOL, that is unacceptable in my 4Runner. I very often fold my seats, carry bikes, sod, fertilizers, trees, lumber, 4x8 plywood and drywall and I also sleep with my family at the back on long trips. All that stereo equipment has no place at the back. You got no room there for a couple grocery bags. My install is 100% stealth and is in factory locations. I didn't lost a cubic inch of usable space anywhere on my truck with stereo install. 2/3 of 4Runner owners install their amps under the seats. Under driver seat I taped HVAC duct shut but under passenger seat I left it open and my amplifier just warm to the touch during coldest winter months. You over-thinking this

yea, i have my rockford fosgate power amps under each seat plus the rear storage, but the 15s do take up all the cargo, along with my spare tools.

I was worried about the vents too. I just duct taped them closed before I installed the amps.

Might be going with this Under passenger , it's pretty small but has good output and THD.

LOL I mounted my amps onto my sub box and suddenly I'm overthinking this??? you're nuts pal. If I can fit three hockey bags back there with the sub and amps, I think I'd have enough room for a couple grocery bags.

The way you mounted your amps it just plain ugly to tell you the truth. And borderline inviting thieves. Its obvious that mount ANY class A amplifier under a 4Runner seat is physically impossible. To slap Mosconis on top of subwoofer box, you can take a point for creativity on that one lol. Straight up red neck engineering. And yeah, throwing hockey bags on top of Italian amplifiers its totally fine, get out of here..

You installed a shallow mount woofer in the stock location? You're more creative than Gaudi! I think with a little WD-40 and your creativity, you could probably probably go another step and hide that tiny piece of shit amp up your ass. Your whole family could watch from the trunk since you have all that space back there!

both amp will fit fine, one under each seat. just mount it length wise like the way truck is facing, that how i did it, also still able to readjust some things later on.
