Nice looking, the description shows the owner took pride in ownership as far as investment into 4runner. If you are looking to buy it, it's worth consideration based in appearance alone, however get it thoroughly inspected.

I have seen a lot like it on the forum, yet nothing specificity points to one.

This does look pretty nice, especially for an upper midwest vehicle.
I didn't know it was possible to fit 15 inch wheels on any 3rd gen 4Runner, other than for 1996 or so. Especially with the tundra brakeb upgrade. That would be something to confirm if talking to the seller.

True, but that's a sport and they came with 16's and the larger brakes. Might have shaved the calipers, but regardless it's a nice 4runner.

he sent me pictures of the frame and stuff, it looks really good for a Midwest truck. The gas tank shield has rust on it, but that's easy enough. $6500 is his bottom line which I think is pretty fair. It has a small ding in the right rear quarter panel but he says that's pretty much the only one. Now I have to see if I can get sell my truck.

Ad doesn't specify if it is 2WD or 4WD, or if its Auto or Manual. It also states that it has a locking center differential...? Only thing youll be able to do is drive in 4WD on the road when its unlocked without damaging your drivetrain. It will also disable the skid control.

Have you done your research at all??? haha 2002's only came in auto and since he says a locking center differential then it has to have 4wd.

I hope whoever buys it does their full dilagence looking it over and checking for issues. A compression test would be good as well.

I would also want to see the paperwork. How long did the current owner actually own it?
I could easily see a pink milkshake or head issue causing it to be sold cheap, then the new guy puts brand new tires on it and claims to have owned it for long time.

I'm just always suspicious of guys who build up a great truck (Tundra mod, brand new tires?) and then suddenly decide to sell.

he's owned it for 4 years. He's been pretty straight forward and honest to this point. He says he's looking for a truck. The rims and tires are for sale separately on cl too, I offered to trade him my wheels and tires and $. He said he'd think about it.
