Anyone near Pensacola FL? Rack Build

Hoping to find a member near pensacola Florida that wouldn't mind me measuring and building a 4th gen rack off of their 4R. I get lots of requests for a 4th gen rack but dont have one to build off of. PM if you'd be willing to meet up. Thanks

thats not too far at all. if you ever head this way (Milton, actually), i'd be willing to pay you for your time or give you a killer deal on a rack.
 
Thanks rebel but I've been building these racks and many others for quite a while, just none for 4th Gen t4rs. Fyi, the rack in my signature is my 3rd Gen rack and the design I'll adapt to the 4th Gen as well. Stay tuned.

I was mostly joking, I look forward to seeing your design. Hopefully you get something worked out before I PCS I'd love to have a locally built rack.
 
i ordered a load of material but before i start, could someone with good tape measure skills help me out? i need the measurement between the black gutter inlay pieces, inside edge to inside edge, at or around the stock roof rail mouting areas. from what i can gather on google, it should be about 45-46", just need to know that to determine width before i can lay out the bends. i'd hate to hassle my local guys with a meet-up for this since it would take about a minute. thanks if you can help!

Always good to see another vendor making 4th Gen accessories! Great looking rack in your signature. The roof tapers slightly from front to rear on my 2008. The front measured 2" forward of the front mounting bolt was 44 1/2". The rear, measured 2" aft of the rear most mounting bolt was 42 3/8". Hope that helps.
 
I can a measurement also if needed (still at work). But It looks like the above is pretty accurate. Let us know!
 
Just wanted to throw another idea out there for you, should be an easy one after seeing your rack builds. I can't commit to buy right now, but would definitely consider one if available. I'm pretty sure others would buy as well. Have you considered a bolt on light bar for the front? I think defiant is the only option currently, would be great to have another source.
 
sure, i would consider anything i felt i could be competitive with. but once again, i would be reliant upon another members' ride for the build-up, and of-course their time. i havent been able to line anything up with my local contact so i'm still on the hunt for a 4th gen i can get a good eyeball on. i would be willing to pay someone (within reason) for their time or offer to help with any 4-handed projects they may be putting off.
