I like to drive up to the George Washington Natl. Forest and do some wheeling. Some awesome trails through there

I live in Gloucester, went to Peter's Mill Run a coupe weeks ago. My 4Runner's first time wheeling. Shoe Creek is gated now, that was my favorite place to go when I had my jeep. Maybe we can get together before the summer is out and plan a trip..

I'm a long time lurker on the forum and came across this thread. I am currently living in the tri city area. I have yet to get the symptoms properly diagnosed, but I don't have too high of hopes. I fear that I have a failing head gasket on my 2004 V6. Based on the pricing the dealer gives me I may or may not get it done there, if I can get referred to a reputable shop for this kind of job. Any suggestions?

Can't speak to the 'mechanic thing' just yet (only been in the RVA area for 6 months) but for truck/4-wheel drive stuff there are a few options.
Truckin' Thunder has 2 locations, one in Midlothian the other on West Broad. Haven't used them.
4 Wheel Drive Specialty is on West Broad as well. They will be installing new tires and Bilstein's for me next Tuesday.
BTW - welcome to the hood. If you like beer there are a metric sh*t-ton of breweries in and around RVA.
Cool, thanks man. I'll look into those two and see if they might have some recommendations for mechanics.
re: breweries - No sh1t! There seem to be new places opening up every day. I'm really enjoying it here... cool city.

New 2003 Limited V8 owner that has been in the Richmond area for a long time. I don't know of any places to take our rigs off-road but I would be down to meet up and try some out.
Plus I would be happy ot help others out with stuff, I just have no tools and limited knowledge. But my arms work well.
