Anyone Rocking a ProClip Vent + Ram/67d or ProClip Vent + QuadLock?

I was searching phone mounts and saw some random pictures of these two no-drill solutions. Wondering if anyone on here is using one of the two; interested in seeing some pics and how they’re holding up over the time given the additional weight on the ProClip. Thanks!

Edit: I ordered the 67designs nano arm and connected it to the ProClip. Pretty solid. I did also purchase a mount to drill, but it requires two screws and after removing the dash it seems like there's no way to clear both without chopping plastic. Really hoping they release something with a smaller footprint because I want my A/C vent back!

Pro-Clip with Ram-Mount here. Held up well with my Pixel 2 XL, and continues to do the job with my Note 10 Plus. Both chunky phones, with decent weight. I've off-roaded, driven like a jackass, and tried EVERYTHING to get it to fall off. Its like its bolted in place. Problem is, I'm introducing a tablet to the mix, to "replace" my head unit, but to also give me more screen real-estate to work with so i can have my maps, music, and whatever else I might need at my fingertips. Going ICSFab dash mount for that. But in terms of your actual questions: I WOULD 100% RECOMMEND THE PROCLIPS + RAM MOUNT SOLUTION TO ANYONE. Don't hesitate. Its well worth it.

I have a ProClip on all my cars and have never had an issue with them. The new, bigger phones with an Otter Box are not all that light. Again no issue.
They are a quality product.

Thanks for the detailed reply! Where did you find the piece/adapter that goes between the ProClip and the actual ram mount? I found a link to one on Amazon from a blog, but it looks sketch.

If you're referring to the trail4runner(that team is great) write up, then yeah thats where I got the links for my parts initially. After having received everything, I quickly realized it really was just a single APMS adapter plate. Ram sells those all day long if you don't feel comfortable going with the one on the blog post. Essentially pro-clips is giving you a drillable mounting surface to which you would drill and attach an APMS adapter/base plate.

In terms of ventilation, yeah you're blocking the vent a bit, and my note10 is a damn brick so it blocks quite a big chunk of the one vent. I just have it moved all the way over to the side, and its really not a big deal. Certainly not a noticeable difference.

BTW if you're not cool with, or don't feel comfortable with the amazon seller grab a RAM Ball Adapter Plate and a double socket arm(linking the short one but go with what you like). This way you can still buy the RAM mount linked on blog-post, or go with one off the RAM website. ALSO if you're not comfortable screwing in base plate, or its too big to screw in, just glue it down, use this, or a 3M alternative of your choice. Hope this helps dude.

I've been using quadlock cases/mounts on mountain bikes and vehicles for many, many years (since the company started) with almost no issues. Currently using the Car kit with wireless charging head stuck to the glass by the driver side a-pillar. Maybe twice a year, typically in the summer when truck is in direct sunlight for hours, the mount will fall off the window. Clean the glass, put it back on and it's good for another year. I also use the bike stem mount on my mountain bike and it's been bombproof. The cases have served me well - light, slim, and strong (dropped phones several times with zero issues). I'd say if you have a bike, motorcycle, atv, or anything that you want the ability to move back and forth; quad lock is darn near perfect.

I use a ProClip center dash mount and the associated iPhone holder. It is fantastic. No drilling/cutting and it is super stable even when bouncing around off pavement. Have done a few week-long overlanding trips with no problems.

It worked so well I added a second to hold a Garmin InReach mini so it could have a clear view of sky + be near charting port. You can get one of these adapter ball plates to mount anything that uses a ball, like the Garmin came with. But other RAM stuff would work too.

Not that specific combo, but I use a Proclip vent mount and bought a Scosche magnetic mount (sticky tape) and placed it on the Proclip.

Thanks for the all the input guys, I ended up ordering the ProClip and the G3 Magnetic Mount from 67 Designs. The thought process was that having a magnetic attachment would possibly provide less movement on the ProClip itself. Another reason was that I took a look at the Ram Mount for Large Phones and, embarrassing to say - I'm not sure I could grip those two ends with one hand! I'll post the set-up here once everything arrives.

I have the proclip vent frame mount with a proclip wireless charger mounted on the right center vent for a good while now. Works great on and off road, never an issue.
