Anyone running 33" on stock 4.56 gears?

Hi
I have a 90 3.0 v6 Auto (A340H) with stock 4.56 gears (G254) and want to put on 33x12.5x15 tires instead of stock 31x10.5 ones
Does anyone have this same configuration running?
How is MPG and power?

I will be up-sizing to 33x10.50R15 BF Goodrich KM2 here soon. I have a '90 3.0L with a 5spd and factory 4.56 gears. I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I do it.

Going from 31's to 33's isn't going to make a big dent in power or mpg.
Go for it.

im running 33 x 12.5 on 15x10 wheels, son of a ***** is slow off the line but is no doubt a tractor!

It's not in the VIN, but it is on the VIN plate, where it says axle code.

But if you had gone from the stock 28" tires directly to the 33's you'd really notice it.

fourw1 even tho I have auto trans? I've heard on manual is not a big problem but auto would be quite noticable.

im running the set up you want. power is bad, but its not like it was good to begin with. regear is coming soon.

not sure i havent found the max speed. im sure its no slower than stock, it just takes a while to get there. dont know gas milage, not good? no other issues.

I went from 31x10.5x15 to 285 / 75 x 16 (33x11.5x16) and have factory 4.56 and 5 speed manual.

I noticed a slight loss of power at crusing speed and my speedo is about 10%
out. ( I'm going faster than it displays )

You might notice it effects your Low Range crawling speed, in that it want's to move faster than before.

I'm planning to install 4.88's at some stage.

i have a 92 v6 5speed with 33x10.5R15 BFG KM2 on stock gears. i lost a little bit of power and mpg but not a whole lot. i have 190000 on the engine and everything is completly orignal. if you have running boards when you go over a bump or something the rear will rub. the front will be fine. i took mine off and love the look with out them. and the tires are the best i have owned. did some mudding and keep it in 2wd the whole time and didnt get stuck. never needed 4wd. sunk down in about 17in of mud and 2ft rutts and she kept on moving no prob.

My door plate is metal, and says it was built in OCT '86, the transcode is....... not on there? Hmm, what next
