Anyone running 99' front w/ 906 rear setup? PICS PLZ

I just put tacoma bilstein 5100s with my 99' talls in the front of my 02 t4r sr5 4wd. I want to swap out the rear to 906's with 5100s from wheelers offroad because I am hoping to achieve a slight rake (back higher). Does anyone have a similar setup to this and wouldn't mind providing pics or mesurements? I

I want the 906's bc I do a decent amount of hauling gear and light towing and the 99's can't handle the weight (droopy).

Thanks

I have 99's up front and OME 890s in the rear. I have 1.5" of rake (if I remember correctly) and I love it

99 front, 906 rear, Bilstein 4600.

Looks Perfect that is exactly what I am after. I like the 890 setup as well I am just worried that little bit of extra lift in the rear will be undesirable for me. Thus planning on going with the 906's.

Thanks for the responses.

906s will give you 2" lift in the rear where as the 890s will give you 3". Not sure why you bought the tacoma 5100s seeing as how there are 4Runner 5100s now, but the 5100s are height adjustable. If you don't like the sag in the rear end, lower the front. The 5100s are advertised as leveling kits. Sure they give lift but their main purpose is to level your vehicle out.

My honest opinion is you should return the tacoma 5100 fronts, buy the newly released 4Runner 6112 kit that comes with custom Eibachs and go with the 890s in the rear if you really want the rake. I have this setup with the 906s because I don't like any rake and I am perfectly level unloaded. Hope this helps.

I ordered them from Wheelers because they have never done me wrong in the past. They are the tacoma one's because that's all I saw offered besides the tundra ones on their 3rd gen page. Do you think the slightly longer tacoma shocks (1 in) with 99 talls on the lowest perch will perform any better/worse than the new 4runner 5100s with 99 talls on a higher perch (to achieve the same lift). The 99 talls had plenty length to seat properly in the longer tacoma 5100s so I kind of like that the spring isn't as compressed as it would be with the 4runner 5100s on a higher perch.

Also, assuming I go with the 906s in the back with 5100s what size tires can I fit in there? I currently run 265/70/16 and I know I can fit wider and taller once this setup is done. Basically I want to go as wide and tall as possible without any chance of rubbing. I do not like the rubbing sound at all because 80% of my driving is on highway and construction sites.

Thanks
May also be a revival when the time comes but I plan on posting some pics when the "little" lift is complete and then when I get the new tires on. Was considering maybe 275/70/16 or maybe 285/75/16 but I am worried those will rub.

Also when you said you have this setup and its perfectly level did you mean you have the tacoma 5100 fronts and 5100 rears with 99 talls in the front and 906s in the rear?

So you have 6112s on yours? I can't find anything about them being available for a 3rd gen. Do you have a part number because I'd be interested in picking some up.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. 47-258624. Now to just find someone who sells them....

I've commented on this several times before in other threads but I'll say it again here. The 4Runner 5100s were specifically valved for the 4Runner. This means that you will get a ride that was tuned for this vehicle. The Tundra and Tacoma 5100s were tuned specifically for those vehicles. With that said, people have reported liking the Tundra/Tacoma 5100s but I respectfully disagree. My friend had Tundras on his '97 and I thought they rode like shit. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

You also have to take into consideration the fact that they might not fit or give more travel than your setup can handle. If you buy a shock that has 6" of travel but your control arms only allow 5" of travel, you are going to bash on something and ultimately ruin something on your truck. Travel is limited by the shocks in order to not damage other parts of your truck and unless you make the proper modifications, you are just asking for trouble when running shocks from different applications.
