Anyone running a Tru-Trac in the rear?

I’ve got an Aussie locker in my explorer
Super easy install.
And works perfect
She’s a trailer queen so idk about wearing out fast but as far as the clicking goes, I don’t hear it in the cab even with the windows down.
There are guys that daily these Aussie lockers and haven’t had issues, but that’s all hear say.
I love my e-locker also.
Just gotta make sure you use it or you lose it.

Just read a bunch of threads here and on Yoda about the Aussie locker and it seems well suited for a 2WD or 4WD; maybe more so an automatic.

For the 4runner it's part number XD-24930 and goes for $300; it can be installed in an afternoon at home

I'm interested in hearing more first-hand accounts from people running the Aussie Locker

200k on the Powertrax in my Dodge Ram

I'd love to hear from someone that had/has this, but I agree it might be a bit unwieldy and noisy

Sad to have a full size truck that would get hung up on a small patch of ice. I installed the Powertrax and as others have said about LSD, rarely had to engage the 4 wheel drive. Mine never slipped (chattered) on the street, but it did engage if I was a little heavy on the throttle turning a corner. Installed it myself one evening after work. Simple and effective. Within the last year it has started to slip, (200k on it) making a sickening clunk sound. For the price and the miles, it was a good, low cost answer to better traction. I've just started looking into a LSD for my 2000 SR5. I like the Eaton 3rd member exchange mentioned elsewhere here. Will have to see if it fits the budget.
Anyway, thats my 2 cents regarding the Powertrax.

Just ordered my Truetrac. Looking forward to trying it out in the snow this winter!
