Anyone tilt their seats back?

After driving the truck for some lengthy trips (I'm 6'5), I've noticed that my right leg is sore and gets cramps. Took it to my body guy, compared it to my work Expedition and the wife's Camry, it appears that the 4Runners seats are very flat. We put some wooden shims (for test) in about 1" and the difference was amazing. I'm almost wondering if the seat is too short, (from front to back). The seats in my wife's Camry (2015 something or other), have lumbar support and are not flat. Floor is also a little deeper. These are very shallow and flat. Wonder why?
My tentative plan is to machine some 1" tall spacers on Tuesday, longer Grade 8 bolts and tilt the fronts back. Anyone else done this?

Glad it's not just me...I find myself constantly adjusting the seat on long trips. I'll be curious to see how this works out for you.

What model? I'm not anywhere near as tall as you but I have the rear part of my seat all the way down, the front part all the way up, and the seat back is nearly upright (I have lumbar back problems). The seat is actually pulled forward about halfway for my 30" instep, but I find this arrangement agreeable for my needs. Just a thought on how you have the seat portion adjusted?

I used to do regular 5-6 hour drives weekly in several different vehicles. Not all of which had adjustable power seats. I found that on longer drives my legs were much more comfortable if I raised the front of the seat so that my hamstrings were supported by the seat versus just sitting there.

seat depth could be deeper for sure...i still miss the adjustable depth from the '89 ford mustang I once had, that was perfect, could pull it forward to meet the back of my calves behind my knees

...but i digress, the 4runner seats are quite comfortable compared to other contemporary seats...as mentioned, for long trips, tilting the seat backward with the front lip angled up and then adjusting between settings works for me...

I'm about 6'-7", and also keep the front high, and the back low for more support. I don't have any problems, but that does sound like it would be a nice bit of added comfort. Please let us know how it turns out!

There is another thread on here where someone does this, and I was going to do something but it seemed a bit of a job at the time.

The seat is alright for me, but my wife wants her passenger side tilted, she is only 5'2" and it is not comfortable, and should be tilted some.

Totally agree. Having the front of the seat up a ways from where the rear of the seat is always cures my sore tailbone after a long time in the driver seat. I do 3,000+ mile road trips in the 4Runner at least once a year.

Reviving this thread. While my drivers seat is fine with the power tilt the passengers seat is not great. It really needs some tilt to be more comfortable.

Anyone do this mod with spacers?

I'm curious as well. It took me a few months to get the seat just right. But it's still not 100%. I'm going to look at the seat mounts this weekend and see what I can MacGyver up but it will most likely look more like a MacGruber hatchet job.
