Anyone travel to NY with the Covid restrictions in place?

I may need to attempt a trip to Long Island in the near future, but NY state has a "14 day quarantine" in place for those that are traveling from less draconian states. Have any of you made this trip that can share their experience? How is the quarantine enforced? Better to drive or fly?

Only exemptions i have seen are "essential workers". Looks like they require "papers" to enter NY. Maybe fly in to CT and row across the sound. Lol. I will call the " hot line" on Tuesday (should be fun).

CT is part of the 3 state compact, so flying in to CT won't help. Aren't you military? If you have a valid business related reason for being there, then your ID or CAC should suffice.

I live in nyc the “draconian”rules is why a city of 1o million achieve a less then 1% infection rate much better then most states and foreign countries but that said driving into L.I. Has less restrictions then nyc the checks at all crossings are few and very infrequent enjoy and stay healthy

But Leaving only increases the chance of getting or giving
