CRAP! I just found out that my best friend's wife's baby shower is the 16th! HE can't go anywhere and my wife was invited. The invite had instructions that states "no children" on the invite. How stupid... it's a baby shower, don't you think kids should be allowed to go along with their parents. I mean, how do you think they got there? Well, since there are no kids allowed, I will take on the job as babysitter to our 2 daughters for Sunday. I'm sorry guys, but I won't be able to come out to play on this trip. But I will try harder for the next one.

04Runner - remind me to check out that CB your talking about. I find my handheld with a roof top antenna works fine. And really don't want to take up front space with a box. But something the size of a cell phone. I'm interested.

I'm breaking in the truck this weekend going up to Red Rock and Jawbone Canyons. I'll be putting either REVO's or Wrangler SA 's on next week.

So look forward to putting some time in the sand.

Bad luck. My 9 yr old son is coming with me. How old are your girls? Could they come with ya? My kids are old enough to entertain themselves in the truck but under 7 yrs it would be hard work for a dad and his kid/s while wheeling.

Yeah I think many people find the handheld with a antenna quite sufficient.

Everyone's getting new tires but me . I'm still on my stock Dunflops...I just bet that I blow one in AB - Still that's what a spare is for :

How old are your girls? Could they come with ya?

My oldest is 13 and usually goes with me. She likes the exploring part of the trips. The other is 3 weeks old... just a little shy of wheelin' age. Can't have that little head bobbling all around the back in her car seat! I MIGHT be able to go out Friday night and come home on Sat night... MIGHT!!! I have to ask the wife and see if she's cool to take care of the baby alone for awhile. I'm thinking it's about a 10% chance of going. We'll see. Maybe I can meet up with 04Runner and we can caravan down. My daughter would probably go with me... watch movies and play PS2 the whole way down. She won't even know that it was a 3 hour trip. Gotta love the backseat babysitters now-a-days!

LOL - my daughter's 13 too. I organised her to hang at a friends place for the w/e as my wife will be away too. Next trip the girls could hang together. Cassie had a ball at Pismo last time. She really enjoyed the dunes.

The trail plans have been set in concrete but it is not dry yet. Just a few little things to clarify and we'll be good to go.

I think we have about 10 to a dozen trucks of all sorts (Only 4R's tho) which will be fun.

Any last minute wanna be's going to join us???? You know you don't want to miss out on the fun especially Andries and James :headslap: each other in the evenings
