Location: Anza Borrego State Park
When: Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th

Meet Location: 10:00am, leaving @10:45am approximately
Red Earth Casino off hwy86, in the large dirt parking lot behind the casino. There is a gas station and convenience store for last minute items and to top off.

Route:

DAY 1
The trails start is 1 mile past the meet up. Coral Wash >truckhaven trail >4x4 obstacle park> Arroyo salido wash>Palm wash>pumpkin patch>phone booth >mutant BBQ >the notches>the arches>calcite mine>gas domes>coyote canyon>upper coyote canyon>sheep canyon>alcoholic Pass and to camp for evening festivities.

DAY 2
Fuel up in Borrego Springs.
Enter Fish Creek via split mountain. Explore fish creek and the slot canyons it provides.
Exit fish creek via diablo drop off>Arroyo Tapiado>mud caves>Vallecito creek>canyon sin nombre.
Air back up and head home

A reminder that we are going to be flexible with schedule, routes, and campsites for this run. When there are this many vehicles things tend to take much longer than normal.

Anyone with cans should bring them as a just in case scenario, not a requirement but a recommendation

What to bring with you:
Good Attitude - This group is big with children attending...we'll need to be patient with each other especially during stops for attractions, lunch time etc.
Bring food, beverages (no alcohol consumption en route please)
Spare fluids for vehicle
Recovery gear if you have it.
Recovery point front and rear (factory hook is fine)
If camping bring your winter gear because it can get cold in the desert( who knew lol)

Interested. Was considering a new years trip possibly to anza borrego, not sure if that might be an option for this trip?
 
Was thinking more around the middle of the month, more people may be available to come because of plans with the family and traveling etc. I went out last New Years, anywhere near the ohv area was a freakin zoo, no one really observing proper etiquette. Pretty much a accident waiting to happen
 
I'm interested too. I did this as an abbreviated version two weeks ago. Ended up staying at the mud caves, those things are just amazing to explore and endless.

I'm down you know that already.
And I got you on the north end I can run that ..I've done both of those areas a couple times. The best place to camp in coyote canyon area is goat canyon camp site area *****in little cove area up against the mountain side there is just a hand ful of sites with open roof shitters, picnic tables,fire pits etc. they are pay sites you just drop your cash in a box type of thing. But it's a legit spot with killer view and nobody around.
Oh and think you missed a typo ...i think you stated the wrong dropoff since it's none existent anymore. I'm pretty sure you meant pinyon canyon trail and the pinyon drop off, the slot and rock garden.

Diablo Drop off? It's a bit past the mud caves, I didn't try it but I checked it out on foot, since I was alone. A big open area to camp for large group near truck haven is also Arroyo Salado.

Diablo dropoff is definitely still there. Just did it a couple weekends back. We started in fish creek and went UP it, had some beers at the top (killer view) then went back down and explored all the way to pinyon dropoff ... (heart attack hill)
