Went to Oriflamme Canyon last night and even with the rain only used 4wd twice.

It's easy, just slow going. Your rig can handle it.
The start is all washed out and has rocks (not boulders) to navigate, not a lot of dirt and sand, just rocks the size of your fist -> head / slightly larger.

The climb is fun and just follow the directions on Trails Off Road. I had them printed out and my 12 yr old son guided us.

The large rock on the trail that fell is easy to get by and the post on Trails Off Road makes it seem much tighter than it is.

"Stairway to Heaven" (waypoint 10) if dry is a possible 4lo / locker situation, but if some folks run it wet it might rut out and increase the challenge. My rig and a jeep wrangler did it when dry a few months ago.

Suggest running it the way posted as it's uphill and then you won't be riding the brakes the whole decent if you ran it in reverse. With the recent rains I could see the challenge increasing just be safe on the ascent and watch the possible water crossings at the start.

I’m in for Lower Coyote canyon/Calcite mine. Or other suggestions. If we do fish creek I’d like to get into sandstone canyon more as I missed out last time.

That’s my schedule. Think I can roll out of sd around 2 Saturday. I’ll check the weather forecast Thursday.

Pretty easy. Few ruts here and there but nothing technical at all. There is a small hill climb that you can do that you will def need 4Lo for but its super short and you have to come right back down once you get up.
 
So right now my plan is to leave Carlsbad at 2pm Saturday and head to Fish Creek primitive campsite. Wheel Sunday. Right now 3 vehicles are going.
 
Thanks for letting us tag along yesterday and pulling us through some hairy situations. This stock Pro needs a lift and rock sliders ASAP! It was great meeting all of you!
