Do you use your cobra hh 38 with or without an external antenna?

Are these "easy" trails easy enough for a stock 4th gen v6 4x4 to get through? I just got my 4runner and I would like to go but this is my first offroad car and I'm super noob to all this :wave: it would be great to meet some new people.

All my other cars have been performance Japanese compacts.

Definitely stock friendly, a civic can do it.

No not at all, it's Toyota friendly!! Don't tell us you have a buddy that wants to go with a jeep? Cause I have one of those and I told him hell no! I don't wheel with you in public.

I used mine without. Unless you get a couple miles away from each other the handheld will be fine by itself.

Its just a 2 band. A Radio isn't "necessary" but a nice addition to any trail ride. Just about everyone will have some sort of comms on board, a handful of us have Ham radios/2 band, CB's and both. It gets lonely when you can't hear all the shit talk from other people - and if you're the only one without, well, every party has a pooper!

That is the upgraded radio BaoFeng offers, if price is the problem, they have one half the price, just a model down. That one you linked is better than any CB.
