April 2016 Meet and Run

>> The Lake Arrowhead Village shopping area looks like it could be a good place to line up the rigs afterward, but it will be Saturday, so maybe not. I plan on eating at Papagayos Mexican Restaurant there after the meet concludes. All are welcome to join me, but if more than a few are...we might need reservations.

Assuming my child is still behaving and not being a pain in my ass, I'll be down for food after all is said and done.

2n17x is its own trail, so there isn't any bypass to that. There is only one part that is optional on that trail that has a bypass where you can see that silver 3rd gen in the v-notch in the video. And I didn't almost kiss the wall, my side mirror and the right side of my bumper took some damage, but nothing more than paint could fix. I could of avoided the damage if I had called for a spotter after my rear tire fell of the ledge.

First..I will be in on grubbing afterwards for 2 person.

Second I say we just make this a 2 day meet if so many people wanna roll!! I am available and willing to run again with another group for Sunday which would probably get more people and friends wanting to go. Also it seems as though a handful of people will be camping sat night they could also jump in or maybe want to try a couple of the off shoots since they got there feet wet or maybe didn't get a chance to try the day before. or atleast meet a whole bunch more t4r members and checkout their rigs.
Has this been done yet on SoCal t4r having 2day meet.
I dunno just a thought ..since it allows for others to get in on the fun...just hate having to tell people no, sorry maybe next time. When this is what we want for more people (t4r members) to come out and get together for some fun.
You know what I'm saying ..and if I can help to make that happen I would be down to do so.

It wasn't as bad as the grief I got from the first scratch. I just got around to painting the side mirror last month. But yeah my 4Runner and that wall have a thing now. If anyone else gets close to it she might get jealous.
 
Hi all! I'd love to join and am still working on freeing up the weekend. I'm leaning toward the advanced group but am concerned with my clearance and also destroying the right side of my rig in some of those channels, yeah yeah say what you want :noidea: The most "difficult" trail I've taken is the Top of the World trail in MOAB. I trust you guys to spot but just don't want to slow you down since I'm currently riding stock suspension with a front spring saggy like the red lady in last night's episode of game of thrones. I have CB. Will give a for sure answer hopefully in the next day or so.

Oh, I found a nice HUGE map of the area on the .gov website. One thing I dont mind my tax dollars going toward.

Miah, ok, we can do that. The way to keep our SoCal club going is to keep guys involved. If doing 40 trucks is a bridge too far, we know better for next time LOL. I'll add all who have PM'd me.

If anyone wants to do a run with Miah on Sunday, feel free to chime in.

Appreciate that brotha, Let's just give it a shot. Like you said we know better for next time, if we don't just go for it we will never know. Plus while people are waiting for others to get through obstacles if give them a chance to mingle and talk and meet new people. Sometimes crowded chaos is fun, I mean we live SoCal and and deal conjested crowded chaos on the streets and freeways on a regular basis. We can do this.
My buddies over on Tundra Talk are running almost 150 rigs in Sedona,AZ in groups with trail leaders and tails. Just like we are.

We can do this.
As long as people, "come with a good attitude and want have a good time" like it states in your first post

Who knows we may have to slam it shut next time..LOL.

i may be able to do a run on Sunday as well - just depends on the time frame. i have to get back to Oxnard in a reasonable amount of time for a meeting. what time will we be finishing up on Saturday? i have a buddy who is interested in riding along as my passenger...
 
Friendly reminder for those who haven't done so:

Please do yourself a favor and strap down all your cargo with cam/ratchet straps. It will keep items from sliding around your cargo area smashing up your interior, but most importantly keep your center of gravity from shifting during off camber stuff.

I prefer to load the heavy stuff on the right side since the battery and gas tank are on the left side.
