ARB air locker from a mini truck 8" fit my rear diff?

Guys,

A local buddy wants to get rid of his ARB air locker out of his mini truck and wanted to know if I wanted it. I've been looking at ARB USA's online catalog about the compatibility between our two rigs but I can't be sure so I need some help. I'm hoping it's a RD132 but no such stamp is on the thing. What I don't know is what size is my rear bearing & how many splines on the axle.

Page 10 of the catalog http://www.arb.com.au/assets/air-lockers/application_chart.pdf shows the following:

4Runner:
1988-10 V6, 4WD, 50mm bearing ID (1.31" shaft diam) 30 splines All RD132

No mention of V8 4wd but can I assume the rear diff/axle info is the same as above?

1988-05 All models, 50mm bearing ID (1.31" shaft diam) 30 splines All RD132
2005-15 Adjuster nut models, 50 or 53mm bearing ID (1.31" shaft diam) 30 splines RD1324

So, it *looks* like the 4Runner and the mini use RD132 locker.

The only thing stamped on the locker is this number: 507063. I"ll call up ARB on monday but this number shows the production year, week # and the serial #.

The ARB locker in my 1st gen and my 4th Gen V8 is an RD132.

Are going to get just the locker or the 3rd already fit with the locker?

-The older trucks are most likely 4:10 or 4:88 diff gear ratios, and the 4th gen is 3:73

-I think the 3rd could bolt up right onto a 4th gen, but not 100% sure but then see the point above,

-The older casings are said to not be as sturdy becuase they have less material reinforcing it.

Ok, thanks for the info. I was going to remove the locker and insert into my 3rd, along with a solid collar. I don't know his ratio plus his pinion nut backed off so it might've done some damaged. Still, i'll see if the 3rd will actually fit into my housing just for S&G. The locker is fully functional before he took out the 3rd but I'll make sure it works on the bench.

Yup. That's the best way to do it, remove, solid pinion spacer and reset.

Alright, just checked and it is 30 splines and 1.31" shaft diam. I've sent some pics to ARB, will let you know what they say.
