ARB awning owners, did you go 2000 or 2500?

2500- I'll echo what so many others have said and add a little bit. The overhang covers the front door, the overhang looks "sweet" to mee, and in a rain storm that extra .5m makes big difference. I hung mine with gobi brackets off my gobi after spending nearly $60 on a DIY mount that simply didn't pass muster.

Got around to installing a ARB2000. I think the overhang from the 2500 would've bothered me as well. Wish I had gotten one sooner these are awesome!

On both of these, the overhang doesn't look as bad as some others. One of the other questions I had was regarding the placement on the vehicle, and if it could be scooted back a bit so the overhang isn't as bad. I wasn't sure if the liftgate would get in the way and that's why it was so far forward on some of these.

do either of you have a direct side view?

Did you mount this onto your stock roof rack?

I have Thule cross bars installed. They have a small channel on the top and bottom that I mounted a "L" bracket to that then to the awning. I'm sure the same could be done with "U" bolts onto the factory rails as well.

[MENTION=138048]01100101[/MENTION] this is how mines are mounted to my Thule crossbars in case you or anyone else were wondering. You could use the factory rails if you mocked up a simple flat bracket straight up and mounted it to that and some "U" bolts clamped to the factory roof rails.

A bit of a hijack here, but also relevant: does anyone know why autoanything shows the 2500 awning room as discontinued by ARB? I'm ready to purchase a 2500 awning and want a room with it. Would love to take advantage of the 20% coupon at autoanything.
Amazon and ARB show the 2500 room as available but of course no discount.
I guess I just want to make sure that ARB didn't discontinue the 2500 room due to some defect or flaw.

I went with the 2000, as it seemed long enough for my needs. As a bonus, it aligned very well with my RTT.

Yes. Works for rain or sun. Fabric is waterproof. You DO need to make sure one of the outside corners is a low point for water to drain off.

I have not used my awning tent in the rain, but I assume it would work okay. I live in the 2nd driest state in the USA - it doesn't rain very often. So I would use it if I were camping and needed it, but have never had the need/opportunity.

I'm guessing they're just dropping the product to only keep the tent room and the delux awning room. Maybe not worth keeping two different very similar awning rooms in the lineup? Not sure. I ended up buying a delux awning room - mostly because I normally use it as a screen room for bugs moreso than a tent and I live in the desert, so more air flow was worth the extra $40. But I could probably have just bought the screen room and saved some $.

The one thing I wish they would do is put a heavy duty rubberized floor in them. The regular floor isn't really durable if you use it out where it's rocky. I use a canvas tarp under it. Just adds one more piece of stuff I gotta deal with.

Question...how well does the arb 2000 awning mount up onto the yakima megawarrior (no extension) using the fourtreks mount brackets? Should I expect any issues?

Im going to be most likely going with a 2500 and was wondering if anyone has one of these mounted to a gobi stealth rack and a RTT. I'm not sure why but i feel with the RTT the awning wont fit but im sure I'm wrong. Ive searched every where for a picture but I cant seem to find one any where.

As long as the RTT only extends over one edge of the rack when opened (I don't know if you have the fold-out kind or the pop-up kind), and you put the awning on the other side, you'll have no issues. My awning brackets align right at the very edge of the rack, so you don't lose any surface area.
