ARB Bumper and Springs

I'm thinking about installing an ARB Bumper on my T4R, but a friend of mine who installed one tells me I will need to install stiffer springs to avoid sagging from the extra weight.
I wouldn't include a Winch, so it's just the bumper weight.

Also, he tells me that for some reason his bumper is tilted and it's rubbing the front mudguards/fenders.

I had a Daystar lift on my 4Runner before the ARB, and I lost 0.5-0.75 inches. That's with no winch, and the Daystar spacers would make the springs likely to compress less than without spacers...

So, I think you would probably expect at least 0.75" of droop or more with the bumper and no winch. With the already nose-down stance of the stock 4Runner, it may not be a good look.

I'd opt for the springs, definitely.

As for your friend's bumper being crooked, I think he has some more adjusting to do. Mine is perectly level and there is a reasonable amount of adjustment available on the mounts.
