Suspension for ARB Bumper

Hello, I have a 2022 4Runner and would like to install the ARB front bumper with a winch.

I would like to modify the suspension to support the weight but maintain the factory height. After I put a 2" lift on my 80 Series it started a very expensive path to make the handling decent again.

Does anyone know of springs that would support the weight without raising the height too much with the added weight?

I have a steel bumper with a winch and dual batteries which would be close to your projected weight. 2.5" lift with King shocks and 600# springs. This same suspension could be run at factory height as you want to do, so starting at that spring rate would get you pretty close. Some folks have reported running 650# spring rate for that type of set up, but imo, that would be pretty stiff.

There are plenty of other types of supensions that are much cheaper, but the 600# spring rate should be a good starting point with any brand. Good Luck!

I didn't realize there were adjustable ride height options. I guess this is because it's a coil over?

Appreciate the info. I've only ever worked on suspensions with separate springs and shocks. This is my first coil over suspension modification.

There are threads with a collar that is turned further down on the shock body to achieve your lift height on the higher end shocks/coilovers. There are budget offerings by other brands that have a clip for the coil spring seat with different notches that give you the desired height.
Threaded collar Kings and Eibach clip style respectively. Ben at Filthy Motorsports is very helpful on the phone and has some tutorial videos on YT.
