ARB Compressor Install Question

Hi All,

I’ve searched and searched, but still have a question about installing an ARB compressor. Electrical is not my forte.

The ARB switch harness has a red/yellow that needs to go to an accessory wire. I wired it through an “add a fuse” to the cig fuse in the block behind the dash @ driver left knee.

There is also a blue/white wire that needs to be connected to the dash illumination. I’m nervous to cut into the factory harness. Exactly which wire on the 4Runner harness (color and location- picture if you have one) did those of you with ARB compressors or lockers use to connect this blue/white from the ARB harness?

The truck is a 2005 4Runner Limited.

I had the ARB compressor in my 08 Tacoma and I just used another "add a fuse" that I had laying around and connected the blue/white wire to it. The light was constantly on (while the truck was running) but it wasn't that bright to begin with and it was lower on the dash. It never bothered me and had no problems with it. I don't have the truck anymore because I traded it in for the 4R. I'm sure someone here will be able to tell you exactly where to tap that wire to.

Tap onto the 10A TAIL fuse. It only has power when the tail and dash lights are on.

Thanks for the replies. I ran it off the 10A TAIL fuse and it seems to work great. It's not too bright (nor am I).

Did you put a thread up on installing this? or did you find someone else's? I'd like to do something like this.
