Good to know! I checked the general area and didn't find any obvious indentations that indicated any pre-existing threads being in place.
That same question was asked (in the thread I linked) but never answered, so good to know, thanks!

...In the case of the the sliding deck, there are preexisting holes for those that do not have the sliding deck. These holes are covered with what I assume is pot-metal. I know this because when I went to install a sliding deck in mine, and I lined up the brackets, when I marked where to drill the holes, I used a punch to start, and the punch went right through the thin "pot" metal. I drilled the rest of it out and the threads were there.

I too have seen this mentioned, but since there doesn't appear to be any signs in the cargo area showing where these threads are located...

Any chance that someone can measure their sliding tray bolt locations to figure out where the pre-existing threads would be located in the cargo area of a NON-Sliding tray equipt SR5/TRDP/TE?

Also, what size/thread bolts do you need to fit the pre-existing threads underneath the "pot" metal?

I've got a couple of these on order: Round Airline Track Style L-track - 2 inch Piece - Black
Considered going with a 12" L-track, but 4 of these per drawer should be plenty for my needs.

Thought about them too but wanted something more flush when not in use.

I bought this 36" T-track that i plan to mount to the drawers and use either a T-nut or hex bolt with Tie down loops bolted to it, this way I can add or remove loops whenever needed. Since I only ordered one slider drawer for now, i will install a base plate in the cargo area and probably add another set of T-track to the base plate (next to the drawer) so i can strap down storage bins or other items.

Thanks! Do you know if the 14+ SR5s would have these holes pre-threaded also? or would it just be on the Trail Editions?

If its possible, could you measure the dimensions from the center of the rear D-rings to center of pre-existing holes? Here's a picture of what i mean (__"X Dimension & __"Y Dimension for L and R side).

New bolts as they bolt through the plywood into the factory hats. I used m6x40mm (as factory thread is m6)

Do you remember what length bolts you used to bolt the plate to the 1/4" rivnuts that you installed?

The bolts would have to pass through 3/4" plywood plus whatever thickness the OEM carpet/insulation is... I'm thinking a 1/4"x20tpi x 2" or 2.5" might be fine, but can you confirm?

I don't recall. I needed to restock anyway, so I ended up getting an assortment of various lengths. I'd think that I probably went with 2.5", but I'm not certain, sorry.

Yes, they custom made them for me. I think others here have ordered the same so hopefully he kept the template but even if not they were very easy to work with.

Get thier storage pouch if you plan on keeping in the truck. You will thank me after the first time you use them in mud.

My will at some point get mounted on the rack whenever I get to it.

I'm about to do this install and I have some stupid questions.

For the drawers themselves - how did you bolt the frame to the panel/piece of wood? Did you just screw the bolt into the wood? Or is there a nut on the other side?

I ask because, if there is a nut on the other side, how did you access it to hold onto it when tightening? Or did you attach the frame to the board first, then mount the board in the back of the truck?

Been a while so I had to check. It's screwed in without nuts so... sound enough
