Just ordered an RD132. Great buy. Thanks for pulling this group buy together and thanks to East Coast Gear Supply for the great pricing! Definitely will go a long way in building customer good will and I hope members here will remember this and shop you guys for other needs in the future.
 
Is the manifold needed for a rear locker?

And do we need install kits for gears?

It sucks I missed out on this buy, I caught it with 1 hour left and couldn't figure out what I needed.

If someone could still answer the questions above for me it would be greatly appreciated.

You need a manifold if you want run more than one thing on the compressor. So 98% of the time i'd say yes and the other 2% I'm prob drunk and shouldn't be buying shit. The ARB one is nice since it has 4 outlets in 2 sizes and holds just enough volume to operate the locker without a tank for most people. You can find cheaper but if you are unsure what you are doing...

You need at least a mini install kit which is mainly shims and a dye pack. The difference between the regular and the mini is bearings are included in the regular. If you buy the mini and your bearings have play you can always buy them later but if you have some miles on your truck is just go ahead and replace the bearings just for shits and giggles and not doing the same job twice.
 
I'll be buying the master install kit when I'm ready to install my stuff. Probably going to be ordering another locker for the front. Kicking myself now for not doing it initially.
 
Woot! Got my locker today :)

So, I'm going to pay to have mine installed (I know... "BOOO")

I have the air compressor installed already, so is there anything that I will need to supply the shop with to finish this job that's not in the box? Replacement crush washers, shims, gaskets etc? It looks like it may have everything needed, but I just want to make sure before I take it in... Just the locker, no gears...
 
Planning on having it done by a professional shop but the one near me wants $650 which seems a bit steep so I'm going to call around and at that price it might actually force me to try to do it myself!
 
Im having 4wp do mine. 32k mile or 3 year warranty on all the work they do. And I can put it on my 4wp credit card. hahah They are kinda high price but I feel better having the warranty.
